Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, and Noah Jupe, who starred in Hamnet, are set to appear in Romeo and Juliet on London’s West End stage. This will be their first time performing in a West End production.
I’m so excited to share some fantastic news for theatre lovers! You might recognize them from the screen – the young actor who became a Netflix sensation and the incredibly talented star of ‘A Quiet Place’ – and they’re making their West End debut! They’ll be performing for a limited 12-week run starting in March at the Harold Pinter Theatre. It’s a must-see, and I’m already planning my tickets!
Robert Icke, the celebrated director known for his work on productions like Oedipus and The Doctor, will be directing the upcoming play at Empire Street in London.
Sadie shared her excitement about making her West End debut in Romeo & Juliet, saying she’d always hoped to perform there, having grown up doing theater on Broadway.
Working on one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays, directed by Rob and alongside Noah, is going to be a really exciting experience. The theatre scene in London is amazing, and I’m thrilled to be involved.
Sadie became famous for playing Max Mayfield on the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, starting with season two.

She received a Critic’s Choice Award nomination for her performance in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, and will appear in the upcoming Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Sadie started her professional acting journey in the Broadway production of Annie. More recently, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in John Proctor Is the Villain.
Noah Jupe is a quickly becoming a well-known actor, especially for his memorable roles in films like A Quiet Place, Honey Boy, and Ford v Ferrari.
He will soon be seen on screen as Hamlet in Hamnet, in &Sons and The Carpenter’s Son.
Noah shared that he’s always been fascinated by theatre, seeing it as a uniquely demanding and fulfilling art form for actors. He was thrilled to be involved in this particular production when he learned about it.

Robert Icke is a celebrated theatre director and writer who’s famous for putting a fresh, innovative spin on classic stories.
Icke’s work, including Oresteia, 1984 and Hamlet, has been widely praised.


The critically acclaimed production of Oedipus, which won an Olivier Award and features Mark Strong and Lesley Manville, is now showing on Broadway.
Robert shared his enthusiasm for revisiting a favorite play, and he’s thrilled to be directing it in London with two talented young actors. He described the play as powerful and full of energy, highlighting its message about how precious and fleeting life is. He’s eager to begin rehearsals.
David Icke is collaborating with a talented creative team, including award-winning designers: Hildegard Bechtler (sets and costumes, known for ‘After the Dance’), Jon Clark (lighting, recognized for ‘The Lehman Trilogy’), Tom Gibbons (sound, celebrated for ‘People, Places & Things’), and Ash J. Woodward (video, from ‘Dear England’).
Further casting and creative team is to be announced.
