Khloe Kardashian takes the blame for sister Kim believing the moon landing is fake: ‘I’m going to die on this hill!’

Kim Kardashian reportedly believes the 1969 moon landing was a hoax because her siblings, Khloe and Rob, convinced her it was untrue.

In the newest episode of The Kardashians, Kim, age 45, attempted to convince her co-star Sarah Paulson about a particular theory, mentioning she often shares conspiracy theories with the actress.

She faced a lot of online ridicule and criticism, even from NASA’s acting administrator, Sean Duffy, who publicly responded to her on X (formerly Twitter) by pointing out that NASA had already landed on the Moon six times.

Khloe, 41, recently shared that she and her brother Rob, 38, both started questioning the moon landing and discussed their doubts with Kim.

She didn’t believe it was true. She thought she and her brother had misled the person, and while she felt guilty about it, she was determined to stand her ground and maintain her position.

She admitted her opinion was likely to be divisive, and expressed regret for upsetting Kim, saying she worried her words had caused Kim problems, according to People magazine.

Taking a cue from NASA’s reaction to Kim’s claims, Khloe suggested she doesn’t believe the government would ever admit the moon landing was a hoax. She explained that if they did, it would open up a lot of uncomfortable questions—questions some people might be afraid to discuss publicly for fear of backlash.

Khloe Kardashian‘s podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, will delve more into these kinds of subjects in its third season. She says the new season will be less like a traditional talk show.

I’m planning to invite mostly family and close friends this time. They’re all interesting people, but also people I can really talk to – people who aren’t afraid to be honest with me, even if it means pointing out my mistakes!

Khloe is getting a psychic reading from Theresa Caputo of ‘Long Island Medium.’ She’s also bringing along her friend Savas, who is a bit of a skeptic and often challenges her beliefs – especially when it comes to things like ghosts and aliens.

Kim Kardashian claimed she had been to the moon during Thursday night’s episode of The Kardashians, and quickly faced widespread criticism and ridicule on social media for what many considered a historically inaccurate statement.

One X user expressed disbelief that such a well-known person would question an event so thoroughly recorded in history.

Someone else dismissed the statement as especially shocking, considering it came from a well-educated woman who had just completed a six-year law program in May 2025.

‘If you think the moon landing was faked, you’re a f*****g idiot,’ a third fired.

Some people criticized her, saying she sounded like her former husband, Kanye West, who is known for sharing false or disproven conspiracy theories publicly.

Apollo 11, conducted by NASA, was the first spaceflight to land humans on the Moon.

Despite being watched by millions on TV, the moon landing has faced skepticism from many people over the years, and there are several reasons why.

Kim Kardashian shared her opinion on the 1969 moon landing during a recent episode of her show, The Kardashians. She discussed it while filming with her All’s Fair co-star, Sarah Paulson, who is 50 years old.

She told Paulson she was currently sending him a million articles mentioning Buzz Aldrin and another astronaut, to which he simply responded, ‘Yes, do it.’

Kim Kardashian recounted a conversation where someone asked Buzz Aldrin about his scariest moment in space. Aldrin responded that there wasn’t one, explaining that while something frightening could have happened, it didn’t.

The mother of four explained that Aldrin’s age likely caused him to make such a statement, and concluded, ‘I don’t believe it actually happened.’

Paulson explained to the SKIMS founder that she was preparing to thoroughly investigate something after Kardashian, who frequently shares conspiracy theories with her, had sent her information about it.

Later in the show, a producer went to Kim’s dressing room and asked her if she really thought the moon landing was a hoax.

Kardashian firmly stated she didn’t believe the moon landing was real. She explained that she’s watched videos of Buzz Aldrin claiming it was faked, and that he frequently discusses this in interviews.

Kardashian shared what led her to believe in the conspiracy theory, questioning, ‘Why does Buzz Aldrin claim the moon landing was faked?’

People often wonder about some odd things seen in the Apollo 11 moon landing footage. For example, the flag appears to wave despite the lack of gravity, and the footprints on the moon boots displayed in museums don’t quite match those seen in the photos. Another common question is why there are no stars visible in any of the pictures.

The producer then asked the TV personality how she responds to being called ‘crazy’ by others.

Kardashian acknowledged that people are going to say she’s ‘crazy no matter what.’

‘But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself,’ she urged viewers.

Buzz Aldrin, who is now 95 years old, has always maintained that the 1969 Apollo 11 mission was real. For decades, he’s strongly defended the mission’s importance and openly dismissed claims that it was faked.

At age 72, he famously punched a man who claimed the moon landing was a hoax. This happened in 2002 outside a Beverly Hills hotel after the man insulted him, calling him a coward, liar, and thief, and demanded he swear on the Bible that he’d actually walked on the moon.

Police declined to press charges.

He’s frequently discussed the difficulties of the mission, the thorough science that supported it, and the emotional impact it had on the astronauts and everyone who worked on it.
