Acram Digital’s Dawnmaker kicks off beta test, bringing its board-game-like strategy experience to mobile

Story Highlights

  • Dawnmaker is a turn based strategy game that blends city-building with a deck-building style mechanic.
  • The game offers powerful cards, limited space, resource management, lost technologies, minimalistic visuals, and more.
  • According to the App Store listing, it is expected to release on December 18 for $8.99.

Acram Digital, the company behind games like Stone Age: Digital Edition and Concordia Digital Edition, has started a beta test for their solo strategy game, Dawnmaker, on both Android and iOS devices. Developed by Arpentor Studio, global pre-registration is now open for the game, which originally launched on PC in 2024.

Construct buildings and improve your central lighthouse to repel the Smog and unlock more space

Dawnmaker, a strategy game combining city and deck building, is now available on mobile as a beta release. The game takes place in Heksiga, a land blanketed by poisonous Smog, and challenges you to create thriving cities to restore life and light to the world.

This game immediately reminded me of Dorfromantik, a really popular strategy puzzle game. As you build your city, you unlock stronger cards, and I’m excited to see how different card and building combinations will play out in each game.

As you play, the game gets harder because of the limited space, and upgrading your lighthouse is essential for defending against the Smog. I also appreciate that you can still develop farms, build industries, research new technologies, and even create the rare Eclairium resources, all within the confined area. If you’re looking for a game that feels like a board game, this one delivers.

The beta version of Dawnmaker is now available on Android and iOS – look for an invitation and download details in your email. You can also sign up to be notified when the game launches through the Google Play Store or App Store. According to the App Store, the full game will be released on December 18th for $8.99.
