Linda Lusardi, a famous model, has said she now feels ashamed of the early work that first made her well-known in the entertainment industry.
The 67-year-old actress discussed her early career on the “Suddenly Single” podcast, recalling her time as a Page 3 model for The Sun newspaper. She first appeared in 1976 at age 18 and continued until 1988, also posing for nude photoshoots in men’s magazines.
Linda shared that she feels both happy and proud to have been voted Page 3 girl of all time, even though she struggled with body image concerns when she was younger.
She confessed she felt conflicted about the whole thing. While she was somewhat embarrassed by it, she also felt a sense of pride. After all, if you’re going to do something, she thought, you might as well be the best – and she’d been voted the best Page 3 girl of all time, even ten years after leaving the role.
Things were different back then, and it’s unfair to judge the past—specifically the 70s and 80s—by today’s standards.

Even though she was a successful model, she confessed she wasn’t happy with her body at the time. Looking back, she says she would have loved to have had the body she had then.
Linda, who is now an actress and TV presenter, recently said she feels embarrassed by something she did in the past. As time passes and societal views evolve, she finds it increasingly difficult to look back on it without cringing.
What was once common practice now seems deeply wrong. Looking back, the way men behaved towards women during that time is truly shameful.
Linda is a well-known television actress who has appeared in several popular British soaps. She played roles in Brookside, The Bill, and Hollyoaks, and spent a year on Emmerdale as Carrie Nicholls. Carrie was a former partner of Tom King and the mother of his hidden daughter, Scarlett.
I’ve always loved Linda and Sam Kane! They’re such a lovely couple, and it’s amazing to think they met and fell in love while working on Brookside together. They have two grown-up children – Lucy, who’s 29, and Jack, who’s 26 – and I’ve watched them all grow up over the years. It’s wonderful to see a family with such a strong connection.
Talking about Sam, she explained that it’s important to find the right partner and not compromise for someone who isn’t a good fit – something she realized she did in her previous relationship.

Before we became a couple, Sam and I were just really good friends. And I truly believe choosing your life partner is the biggest decision anyone will ever make. If you’re not happy with the person you’re with, it impacts everything.
Linda talked about how getting older has changed how people interact with her. She explained that younger people often behave differently towards older individuals.
People have stopped listening to my ideas. There’s a common misunderstanding about people my age. But if you still feel young at heart, that feeling never really goes away.
Honestly, retiring was…strange. It felt like everything shifted all at once. My kids were grown and gone, building their own lives, and then, not long after, I lost both my parents. That was the hardest part, you know? The biggest shock to the system. It really felt like a whole chapter closed, and I had to figure out what came next.
