The BBC has announced the guest stars for the upcoming Christmas special of Beyond Paradise and shared a sneak peek, promising a major revelation. Beyond Paradise, a spin-off of Death in Paradise, follows detective Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) as he investigates murders in the made-up village of Shipton Abbott in southern England.
This Christmas, fans can look forward to special episodes of both Beyond Paradise and Death in Paradise on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, featuring some familiar faces joining the cast.
Joining the cast of Beyond Paradise are Adrian Edmondson, known for Alien: Earth, James Lance from Ted Lasso, and Jonny Weldon, who starred in One Day.

The episode will feature the show’s usual stars – Marshall, Sally Bretton, Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, Barbara Flynn, Felicity Montagu, Jamie Bamber, and Melina Sinadinou – and is expected to be full of festive holiday spirit.
Okay, so the story kicks off with me finding this guy on the police station steps – totally lost and can’t remember a thing! He’s clutching a photo of Humphrey, which is… weird. Now, me and the team have to figure out who he is, but it’s Christmas time, so we’re also dealing with a ton of other cases popping up. It’s a bit chaotic, honestly!

Meanwhile, Martha races against the clock to complete a secret project with assistance from Anne and Zoe, while Kelby attempts to help a man stuck inside a snowman suit.
With surprise guests arriving, a sudden increase in holiday crimes, and a touching family reconnection happening, the team has a lot on its plate. Can they handle everything and still be prepared for a major discovery?
The first look at the Christmas special is full of holiday cheer, featuring Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and even a snowman costume!

The new photos feature all three guest stars: Lance looks thoughtful while standing behind a bar, Weldon is beaming in front of a festively decorated bakery, and Edmondson is pictured at the police station – the reason for his visit remains a mystery.
The popular show Death in Paradise has announced that Pearl Mackie, known for her role in Doctor Who, will appear in this year’s Christmas special, which promises a more suspenseful and dramatic storyline.

Beyond Paradise and Death in Paradise both air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
