Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo put on united front at Wicked: For Good NYC premiere after being mocked by fans

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo looked stunning as they walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good on Monday.

Ariana Grande, 32, and Cynthia Erivo, 38 – the stars of the movie who play Glinda and Elphaba – both looked stunning in black and white outfits at the event. This appearance came just days after Grande had a surprising and unwanted encounter with a fan at the Singapore movie premiere.

The singer and actress looked breathtaking in a striking ballgown. It had a fitted black top and a full, flowing skirt made of light, pale fabric.

Ariana Grande, whose obsessive fan recently received a nine-day jail sentence, completed her look with a black hair bow and subtle makeup.

I was absolutely captivated by Cynthia Erivo’s look! She wore this stunning, all-black gown with gorgeous feather details and even had gloves built right in. And for a moment, she accessorized with these incredibly dramatic, oversized black sunglasses – it was such a statement! She did take them off for photos, but that initial look was just unforgettable.

The actors held hands while posing for photos on the red carpet, and Grande expressed how incredibly grateful they both are now that filming for Wicked is finished.

Working with people we both admire and genuinely care for has been an amazing experience,” Grande shared with E! News.

She added that she’s excited for fans to ‘finally be able to get the full story.’

She said it’s been nearly five years working with these people, and she’s thrilled they’re finally learning the truth that she and others have held onto for so long.

Erivo did not speak during the interview as she is currently on vocal rest.

Ariana Grande excitedly shared news of their Grammy nomination for ‘Defying Gravity,’ a song from the upcoming ‘Wicked’ soundtrack that they worked on.

We’re absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to receive this recognition, particularly so long after the original movie came out. It means a lot to us to share this moment together.
