Spice Girl Mel C and her partner, Chris Dingwall, were spotted on the red carpet at the premiere of ‘Wicked: For Good’ in New York City on Monday night.
The 51-year-old Spice Girl and her boyfriend, an Australian model, appeared together in public, confirming their relationship after months of rumors. She wore a fashionable suit that complemented his look.
I always admired Mel’s style – she just had this effortless chicness. I especially loved how she’d wear a crisp, white, bib-front shirt with wide-leg palazzo pants, and then add this cool, slightly undone black dickie bow. It was such a unique and put-together look!
I always say you can’t go wrong with a classic! Chris chose a beautifully tailored black suit, and he paired it with a fresh, white shirt – a timeless and sophisticated look.
The happy couple smiled and cuddled for photos before finding their seats to watch the long-awaited sequel to the musical.
Mel shared the story of how she met Chris last week while on the Life Uncut podcast hosted by Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.

‘Nobody knows this, but we actually met on Raya,’ she confessed.
I Turn To You shared that she didn’t want to date anyone after her previous relationship finished.
After a night out with friends who encouraged her to start dating again, she finally decided to try the exclusive app.
‘So that’s when the Raya profile was set up. So, we’re on this thing, which is really good fun.’
The singer explained they used to play a game they called ‘boy bingo,’ where they’d look through magazines or online to see if any attractive celebrities were featured – it was just a bit of fun.
And then she matched with Aussie model Chris.
Mel met someone online while she was in London. The person she matched with was from Sydney, and she was about to start a DJ tour in Australia.
‘I thought, “He’s really cute. This is worth pursuing”.

‘So I came over – it was November 2023 – and we went out for dinner,’ she shared.
I was absolutely thrilled when one of the Spice Girls arrived in Sydney bright and early at seven AM! She had a full day ahead of her before the show that night, and she playfully said she was either really committed or totally desperate to make it work – it was such a funny and relatable thing to say, and it just made me love her even more.
He made a reservation at this really popular restaurant, and I didn’t want to disappoint him. We’ve been together ever since, and I’ve never shared that story before now.
Melanie raved about her Australian boyfriend, describing him as a kind and considerate person. She explained that he’s respectful of her space, offering quiet support and being a wonderful partner.
She generally prefers to keep her personal relationships private. However, she once shared that she wasn’t allowed to date when the Spice Girls first became famous, while the other members of the group could.
She previously explained that it felt like there was one set of rules for some people and a different set for everyone else.
‘I think when you are vulnerable as well, people go, I don’t think it’s good for you’.
Mel explained that the other women were allowed to have boyfriends because she believed they were capable of handling it, unlike her. She essentially told them, ‘You’re strong enough for a relationship, but I’m not.’
‘It makes you question yourself when you are already vulnerable,’ Mel added.
