Holly Hagan shares heartbreaking tribute on her late sister’s 20th birthday – just weeks after her ‘incredible, beautiful’ sibling’s death

Holly Hagan paid tribute to her late sister in a heartbreaking message on Sunday. 

The 33-year-old reality TV star shared a tribute to her sister, Darci Rose, on Instagram, marking what would have been her 20th birthday just weeks after her passing.

Holly shared a heartfelt message with her 4 million followers, wishing her daughter a happy 20th birthday. She expressed hope that her daughter is celebrating and singing karaoke in heaven.

Darci, you had grown into such a wonderful and beautiful young woman. I’m so incredibly sorry for what happened. I know you would have loved to be here celebrating with us, and we miss and love you more than words can say.

Holly described her family as deeply traumatized after sharing the news of her sister Darci’s death last month. Police reported that Darci had become seriously ill, and it’s believed she had taken drugs.

Holly shared the sad news that her half-sister, Darci – who had the same mother, Vicki, but a different father – had died.

With deep sadness, the Geordie Shore star shared on Instagram that her baby sister, Darci Rose, has passed away peacefully while she held her hand, surrounded by loved ones. She assured followers that Darci wasn’t in any pain.

The past four days have been incredibly difficult for our family, a time we wouldn’t wish on anyone. We’re deeply traumatized, and while we’re not ready to talk about it fully yet, we will share Darci’s story when we’re able.

To the amazing ambulance team and all the staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary’s Accident & Emergency and Intensive Care Units – thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving my sister the very best possible care.

Thanks to your incredible care, we were able to spend precious final moments with her – holding her hand, stroking her hair, and feeling her heartbeat. We are eternally grateful for how you looked after both her and our family during this unbelievably difficult time.

Currently, my main priority is providing for my family and making sure they’re financially secure, so they don’t have to stress about work or money.

Darci is naturally beautiful, and she doesn’t even seem to know it! I used to tell her she’d look better without those over-the-top false eyelashes, but honestly, I was being a bit of a hypocrite – I wore tons of them myself when I was her age!

After Holly’s announcement, Greater Manchester Police stated that on October 19, 2025, they responded to a call from hospital staff concerned about a 19-year-old woman who had become seriously ill, likely after taking drugs.

I’m absolutely heartbroken to share that she passed away last night at the hospital. It feels so unreal. I can’t even begin to imagine what her family is going through right now, and I’m sending all my love and strength to them. The police are still trying to figure out what happened, and I really hope they get some answers soon.

Holly explained that her friend was very absent-minded, often leaving lights on, forgetting to lock up, and even leaving the freezer door open, which resulted in a mess of defrosted food when Holly’s mother checked.

She was a wonderful aunt, and Alpha-Jax absolutely loved her. I’ll always remember her spending his entire birthday playing on the bouncy castle with him and Alba – it’s a truly special memory.

She was drawn to social work because she loved helping children, and I feel certain she’s continuing that care for babies now.

Honestly, I’m not even sure how I’m coping, but losing her… it’s like she left me this incredible strength. I truly believe she’s still here, watching over all of us, like our own personal guardian angel. It sounds crazy, I know, but I feel it. We miss her so, so much. She’ll always be our baby girl, forever nineteen, and forever in our hearts.
