Medical staff on the set of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ are said to be closely monitoring contestants due to very high humidity levels in the jungle this week.
The popular ITV show returned on Sunday night with a new group of celebrities facing its challenges. This year’s contestants include Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Aitch, Alex Scott, Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty, Eddie Kadi, Lisa Riley, and Jack Osbourne.
Oh my gosh, I just read that the weather is going to be absolutely terrible the next few days! And I’m so worried about Jack! Apparently, the show’s producers are really concerned about him because of his MS. I’m just hoping he’s okay and that they take extra care of him with this awful weather coming up. He’s amazing, and I’d be devastated if anything happened!
On Sunday, the humidity in the area hit 90 percent, which is 20 percent above normal for this time of year.
After the thunderstorms, Monday will be very hot, reaching 33C. This will make the first week in the camp particularly challenging.
According to a source, the celebrities on the show have faced a string of difficult challenges from the very beginning of the season.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen it time and time again – contestants go from the comfort of air-conditioned luxury straight into the thick of the Australian jungle. It’s a huge shock to the system! There’s absolutely no time to acclimatize to the humidity, which really throws everyone for a loop. It’s a massive adjustment, and honestly, it’s tougher than people think.
The air is so bad it’s hard to even breathe, and it’s going to be especially tough for everyone to work and keep the camp going. It’s a really difficult start for them.
High humidity can intensify multiple sclerosis symptoms, but the show’s team will be prepared to help the celebrity contestants stay comfortable using special cooling towels that are activated with water.
When it’s hot and humid, your body struggles to cool itself. This can disrupt how damaged nerves send signals, temporarily making your symptoms feel worse.
People might experience worsened tiredness, blurry vision, muscle weakness, and problems with thinking or remembering things.
Jack received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2012 when he was 26 years old, only three weeks after his daughter, Pearl, was born.
ITV has been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
I was really impressed with Jack right from the start! He totally showed everyone he’s a serious candidate to be camp leader by winning the very first challenge. And then, to top it off, he cooked an amazing steak dinner – it was all on the first episode! He’s definitely one to watch.
The show kicked off with Aitch, Kelly, Eddie, Shona, and Martin going skydiving. Meanwhile, Ruby, Lisa, Angry Ginge, Alex, and Jack gathered at a fancy villa to confront their fears.
Both groups were trying to win two coveted seats in the Getaway car.
The team faced a terrifying challenge: they had to reach into boxes filled with snakes and green ants.
Jack was the first to quickly find and use his car key, looking intensely focused. Immediately after unlocking the car, he shouted, ‘Let’s go!’
Only one spot remained, and it came down to a close final battle between Alex and Ginge.
Ruby, on the other hand, seemed completely relaxed, with her eyes closed. Ant and Dec playfully worried and asked, ‘Is she falling asleep? Ruby, are you still there with us?’
Ruby jokingly told Ant and Dec she was confused about how to remove the wing nuts, and playfully added that she felt like ‘an Ant was up her nose’.
Ginge reigned victorious, taking the fourth and final seat in the Getaway car.
When Aitch and Eddie went to collect the other skydive winners, they finally met Jack and Angry Ginge, who climbed into the car with them.
The four celebrities clinked glasses and started their comfortable journey into camp, where they were looking forward to a steak dinner and the most comfortable beds in the camp.
Alex, Lisa, and Ruby braced themselves for what was coming – a scary ride in the Cockie van. They joined other defeated celebrities – Kelly, Martin, and Shona – and headed into the jungle, unsure of what awaited them.
Kelly suggested Ruby try to get some free goodies from the driver, Kiosk Kev, by flirting with him. Ruby jokingly replied that she’d ‘straddle him’ to get what they wanted.
Aitch, Eddie, Jack, and Ginge were the first to arrive at the 2025 jungle camp. They were thrilled to secure their comfortable beds and start their jungle adventure in style.
I was absolutely howling when Aitch started ribbing Jack and Eddie about the fire! He was like, ‘Seriously guys, we’re almost out of time here! Match of the Day is about to start!’ It was hilarious because they were clearly struggling, and the pressure was on – you could really feel it building as we watched!
With Jack getting the fire going, they were finally able to start cooking their steak dinner, which included mushrooms and avocado.
Jack didn’t miss a chance to mention his cooking experience, quickly offering advice to the celebrities on how to tell when the steak was cooked to perfection. He jokingly reminded them he’d been a runner-up on the show ‘Cooking With The Stars’ this year.
He shared in a private moment that he doesn’t mind cooking because he’s used to a large family and their constant requests!
As the four friends began eating, Eddie shared how grateful he was to be with them, saying, ‘I couldn’t ask for a better group to share this with – they already feel like family.’
As night fell, the remaining six celebrities were faced with a very different fate.
When the Cockie van arrived in the jungle, Kiosk Kev stepped out, locked the contestants inside, and left them to confront their fears.
Okay, so picture this: Ant and Dec were about to head out, but first, they had a challenge! They needed to earn their dinner. Above them was this grate, and they had to win six keys hidden up there. Each key unlocked a box, and each box meant one star – and they needed six stars to get the full meal for camp. It was a bit of a scramble, but that’s what makes it fun, right?
But, as you’d expect on ‘I’m A Celebrity…’, they weren’t left in peace – they were quickly covered in bugs and creepy crawlies falling from above.
Honestly, it was chaos! These little creatures were everywhere. I remember Alex letting out a shriek – she said one had somehow gotten down her bra! Then, unbelievably, Lisa actually had one in her mouth! And poor Shona was yelling that one had ended up in her pants! It was a total free-for-all, and we were all just trying to cope with the madness.
Kelly screamed and added: ‘Oh my god, they’re biting my tits!’
Whilst Ruby said: ‘Every crevice, every crevice has been filled.’
The celebrities worked together, overcoming their fears and shouting along the way, to open all six boxes and win a full house of meals for camp.
It was amazing to see everyone back together! After the competition, all ten celebrities – the four who won and the six who sadly lost – came together at camp. It felt like one big family again.
Arriving from the sky, the six celebrities discovered they’d won emu neck for their dinner.
Lisa didn’t like her dinner, commenting that the food items resembled suggestive shapes and she wouldn’t eat them.
With Shona volunteering to cook up a storm, it was time for the celebrities to give their verdict.
Martin was pleased, simply saying, ‘That’s good!’ Ruby, however, strongly disagreed, finding it ‘repulsive’.
‘I think for those six stars we should’ve had a burger and not one of those penis things…’
