Jude Law shows off fuller hairline as he and Andrew Garfield transform into tiger taming magicians Siegfried and Roy

Jude Law was barely recognizable while filming the new Apple TV+ series, Wild Things, about the famous tiger trainers Siegfried & Roy.

The 53-year-old English actor, known for his dark brown hair, was seen with a completely bleached blond hairstyle while filming in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 27th.

Johnny Law will play Siegfried Fischbacher, the famous entertainer who passed away in 2021 at age 81. Andrew Garfield, an Academy Award nominee, will play Roy Horn, Siegfried’s longtime partner in both their act and personal life, who died in 2020 at 75.

Siegfried & Roy, the famous performing duo, created one of the most popular and financially successful stage shows in Las Vegas history, earning hundreds of millions of dollars over many years.

Sadly, the show ended tragically in 2003 when Roy Horn was seriously attacked by one of his tigers during a performance.

For Tuesday’s shoot, Law was dressed in a fitted blue suit, white dress shirt and patterned tie.

The BAFTA Award-winner was spotted following behind a production PA in between takes.

Andy Garfield, 42, who acted alongside Law, was also there. He wore sideburns and had darkened hair to help him look like his character, Horn.

The Spider-Man actor covered up his outfit – a white shirt, slim black tie, and pants – with a warm puffer coat.

He carried his cellphone, an iPad and what appeared to be pages from the Wild Things script.

For the new Apple TV+ series inspired by the podcast ‘Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy,’ Jayden Garfield and Rob Law will play the famous Las Vegas performers.

According to Variety, the series tells the story of two legendary magician-showmen and their white tigers as they attempt to transform Las Vegas into a place for families. Their personal and professional lives become increasingly blurred as they push the boundaries of illusion, culminating in a tragic event and a puzzling mystery surrounding their final performance in Las Vegas.

Garfield and Law started filming the eagerly awaited series in Las Vegas earlier this week, and photos from the set have emerged.

For his first public appearance, Jude Law was seen with a small goatee and a black beret covering his dark, cropped hair. He paired this with a striking royal blue jacket.

Oh my gosh, he was wearing the most amazing outfit! It was a simple white shirt, no collar, but it was how he wore it, you know? And those glasses… thin metal frames, so intellectual! But the best part? This little necklace, it looked like a rabbit’s foot! I swear, everything about him is perfect, even the little details. I need to know where he got that necklace!

Law seemed to have had significant changes to his appearance, possibly using prosthetics to enhance his chin and reshape his nose.

He’d traded his dark, thinning hair for a messy, blond style, which he partially hid behind sleek sunglasses. He was wearing a dark jacket with broad shoulders and leather sleeves, finished with a silver and black scarf and a silver cross.

The actors appeared to be portraying characters who had just finished a shopping trip, posing with bags on the stone balcony of The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

In their act, Siegfried focused on illusions, while Roy was responsible for the animal displays.

However, during the October 3, 2003 performance, things went wrong when Mantacore, a 400-pound white tiger in the show, started walking towards the edge of the stage, getting dangerously near the audience who weren’t separated by any barrier.

While Horn was trying to reposition the tiger, it suddenly grabbed his sleeve in its mouth. He quickly tapped its nose with his microphone, hoping it would release him, but as soon as he moved back, the tiger jumped at him.

Oh my goodness, you won’t believe what happened! Mantacore, one of our tigers, unfortunately latched onto trainer Horn’s neck during a session. It was a scary moment – he actually started pulling Horn towards his wings! We had to act fast, and thankfully, our team was able to safely discharge a fire extinguisher, which encouraged Mantacore to release his grip. Everyone is okay, thankfully, but it was a definite reminder of the power and instincts of these incredible animals.

Horn suffered a stroke and a severed spine in the attack and lost a significant amount of blood.

He suffered partial paralysis for the rest of his life, and the duo never performed again.

Although Apple has been developing ‘Wild Things’ since 2022, Garfield and Law are set to join the cast in May 2025.

They’re both serving as executive producers, and John Hoffman is taking the lead as executive producer, showrunner, and director, having originally created the show.

Will Malnati and Steven Leckart, who also created the original podcast, are executive producers of Wild Things.

Garfield recently appeared in the film After the Hunt, a suspenseful drama directed by Luca Guadagnino. He plays a professor who is accused of sexual assault by one of his students (Ayo Edebiri), and Julia Roberts plays a fellow professor who finds herself caught in the middle of the situation.

He most recently appeared on television in the popular 2022 true-crime series, Under the Banner of Heaven.

Hugh Law will soon star as Russian President Vladimir Putin in a new political thriller called The Wizard Of The Kremlin, directed by French filmmaker Olivier Assayas. It’s important to note the film is a work of fiction, not a biography.

In 2024, he became part of the Star Wars world on Disney+ with the show Skeleton Crew, which is related to The Mandalorian but tells its own story.
