eFootball 2026 National Legends Selection Contract Guide: Top picks and Tier List

The latest update to eFootball 2026 includes the National Legends Selection Contract, available for 900 coins. This contract features several excellent ‘Epic’ players who were stars for their countries. While free-to-play users can get some really strong cards, deciding which ones to pick might be a challenge.

With 16 players to choose from, it can be tough to decide who’s best. I’ve carefully reviewed them all and put together a list of my top 5 picks, plus a complete tier ranking of all the available players to help you make the best choice.

eFootball 2026 National Legends Selection Contract: Top 5 Players to pick

It’s tough to pick just five players from the 16 available National Legends cards, but considering their strengths, how they play, and what’s effective in the current game, these five really shine.

1. Atep Rizal

  • Position: LWF
  • Playing Style: Prolific Winger
  • Show Time Skills: Blitz Curler

I initially thought Atep would be a typical winger – quick with the ball but lacking a final touch. However, after a closer look, he seems much more well-rounded. He’s got the speed and close control you’d expect from a truly effective winger.

A key strength of this player is his ability to perform a Blitz Curl with either foot, making him very versatile. By training him as a Right Wing Forward (RWF), he can effectively play on either wing, giving you a reliable and capable winger.

I recommend a build of 6-4-11-9-8. I don’t usually talk about specific builds, but this setup is crucial for maximizing his potential. To round out his abilities, I suggest adding skills like Pinpoint Crossing, First Time Shot, and One Touch Pass.

2. Yoichiro Kakitani

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Deep-Lying Forward
  • Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing

Kakitani stands out from other players because he doesn’t play like a traditional striker. He’s more of a skillful forward who prefers to receive the ball and control it, and his physical build reflects that style of play.

He’s not a traditional goal-hanger, which surprisingly benefits his game. He contributes more to build-up play than most center forwards, and his excellent finishing makes him a threat in the box. He still makes runs into attacking positions and possesses all the necessary skills for the role.

This player has the skills you look for in an attacking player: excellent ball control, quick turns, and good speed to get open. He’s not very strong physically, but if you play to his strengths, he’s a solid choice.

3. Kiatisuk Senamuang

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Show Time Skills: Acceleration Burst

I especially like this card because it’s a fantastic Goal Poacher. Senamuang is like a smaller version of Inzaghi, and I’m confident no other card in the set would be better at finishing chances.

Kiatisuk is a promising player because of his excellent positioning and ability to find scoring opportunities, which typically makes him a dependable threat in the penalty area. He’s also quick and fast, and combines strong finishing skills with good dribbling and balance – all key attributes for his position.

He’s built similarly to Mbappe, and we all know how effective that player is. While his dribbling skills might be around the 80s mark initially, he excels as a finisher in the box – just focus on making runs and completing the play.

4. Mokhtar Dahari

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing

He’s widely considered one of the best options, and for good reason – he’s a fantastic player. He’s quick, well-balanced, and has great stamina, meaning he can keep running and contributing throughout the entire game. His movements are dynamic and energetic, and he perfectly fits the mold of a classic goal scorer.

He consistently finds good positions and doesn’t need many touches before shooting. While he’s not a strong, physical striker – he’s quite short and lightweight, which could make him vulnerable to bigger defenders – he’s still a very good player, though not my first choice.

5. Sunil Chhetri

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing

I previously tested his Epic version and covered it thoroughly in my guide, but here’s a quick review. This card plays very similarly to that version. While his stats don’t immediately stand out, he’s surprisingly agile in-game, makes excellent runs, and finishes plays effectively.

He reminds me of those old-fashioned, quick-thinking players – not the strongest, but always seems to be where he needs to be. He’s particularly good at maneuvering in crowded spaces. However, he doesn’t have a lot of endurance or physical strength, so he probably won’t be able to play a full 90 minutes.

He’s very effective when brought on as a substitute, and his ability to quickly connect passes makes him an essential addition to any team. He consistently performs well, despite not having a particularly flashy card.

Honourable Mention: Burak Yılmaz

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Show Time Skills: Blitz Curler

Okay, so I’ve been checking out Burak, and he’s definitely a different kind of forward compared to the others on my team. He’s way more of a direct player, really strong, and his shooting is insane – seriously, that’s where he shines. If you need a striker who can absolutely blast the ball and score from outside the box, he’s perfect for the job.

Based on his stats, he’s a skilled shooter with excellent speed and a good physique, potentially reaching over 90 in both speed and acceleration. He’s a strong, long-range threat and offers a different option up front, making him a valuable player to have.

Blitz Curler complements a shooting-focused playstyle, utilizing both feet effectively. He isn’t suited for intricate passing or prolonged dribbling, and he’s best used as a substitute rather than a consistent starter. I think he’s particularly effective in a Left Back/Center Back (LBC) formation.

eFootball 2026 National Legends Selection Contract Tier List

Based on their stats and how they’ve improved, here’s my ranking of the players.

TierPlayers
SSS (Endgame)None
SS (Excellent)Yoichiro Kakitani, Atep Rizal, Mokhtar Dahari, Sunil Chhetri, Kiatisuk Senamuang, Burak Yılmaz
S (Strong)Moussa Sow, Rafael Márquez, Clint Dempsey, Medhi Benatia, Denilson
A (Good)Majed Abdullah, Nashat Akram, Ahmed Hassan, Park Ji-Sung, Nwankwo Kanu
B (Average)None
C (Below Average)None

Moussa Sow is nearly as good as top-tier players, but his weak foot isn’t ideal for a forward who spends a lot of time near the goal. While both defenders are solid choices, I think prioritizing faster players is important, and the strikers ultimately offer more value.

Putting Park Ji-Sung
