As the DC Universe (DCU) tries to unite DC Comics fans, a separate DC project is quietly developing that could solve a long-standing problem with the Justice League. DC Comics has many great characters, but the Justice League stands out as particularly iconic.
The Justice League is a classic superhero team with many well-known characters. It’s been a while since they’ve had a truly great movie or show, but that might be about to change.
My Adventures With Superman Is Now Part Of A Larger Universe

The animated series My Adventures with Superman offered a fresh take on the story of Clark Kent’s journey to becoming Superman in 2023. Now, with a third season on the way, Clark has significantly evolved.
The world of Green Lantern is growing! A new spin-off series, My Adventures with Green Lantern, is coming soon. It will follow Jessica Cruz, a student who unexpectedly discovers a power ring and becomes the newest Green Lantern.
Because the show takes place in the same world as others, we can probably expect to see characters and storylines connect in future episodes.
DC Hasn’t Had An Animated TV Universe Since Justice League Unlimited

There’s exciting news for fans of DC animation! This new project offers a chance to create a connected universe of shows and movies, much like the beloved DCAU. It’s been a long wait – the DCAU hasn’t had a regular animated series since Justice League Unlimited finished in 2006. While there have been DC animated movies since then, they haven’t always felt part of a larger, connected story.
I’ve been following DC adaptations since 2006, and it’s been amazing to see shows like Harley Quinn and Young Justice gain so much popularity! What’s always struck me, though, is that each of these series feels completely separate from the others – they haven’t really built a shared universe, which feels like a missed opportunity.
Even the new show Creature Commandos isn’t a separate animated series; it’s connected to the main live-action DC Universe.
My Adventures With Green Lantern Should Be The First Of Many Spinoffs

Now that My Adventures with Superman has expanded to include My Adventures with Green Lantern, exciting new storylines and opportunities are on the horizon.
This has the potential to launch a new shared universe of DC animated shows, eventually including the Justice League, much like Batman: The Animated Series paved the way for Justice League Unlimited.
As a huge cinema fan, I’ve been following this closely, and while we’re not quite there yet, the way this story is unfolding as a TV series actually gives it a real chance to build a compelling Justice League before the DCU does. It’s an exciting possibility!
