Ash Galati recently shared sad news with his fans on social media, revealing a family loss.
This week, 33-year-old Married At First Sight star shared the sad news on Instagram that his sister, Cass, had passed away after fighting cancer.
The reality TV groom shared photos of his beloved sister that depicted their life together.
One sombre image was a screenshot of support Cass had left for Ash.
Cass wrote, ‘You’re the best brother anyone could ask for.’ She added that he’s always there for her when she needs help.
‘So proud of the person you are and so grateful you are my brother.’

Alongside the sad photos, Ash wrote a heartfelt message honoring his sister, sharing that she had a significant impact on who he is today.
‘My beautiful sister Cass, I know you hated social media. We all loved you; you didn’t deserve this ending. It was so unfair. Life can be so unfair,’ he wrote.
You had a huge impact on my life, even without realizing it. I truly believe you helped me stay on the right track.
I clearly recall you telling me when I was fifteen that you’d harm me if I ever got arrested, and that you worried getting in trouble at your job if I did.
Ash explained he signed up for Married at First Sight because Cass had offered to support him by watching while she went through chemotherapy.
I applied for the show because you told me you’d watch it while going through chemotherapy. You encouraged me to try out, but then seemed unsure once the show’s producers started contacting me, he explained.
You filled my life with adventure and unforgettable moments. Because of you, I always looked for the best in others.
You know, as someone who observes people and life, I’ve always admired those who aren’t afraid to take chances, especially when it comes to doing what’s right. Seeing someone like that—a truly dedicated and brave officer, the kind you root for in films—meet an ending like this just feels…wrong. It shouldn’t have happened.

‘Forever broken, fly high, sis,’ he finished.
The tragic post was met with an outpouring of support from friends and followers.
Jack Dunkley, from Married at First Sight, shared his sympathy, writing: ‘Ash, your sister would be incredibly proud of the kind person you are and the positive impact you have on others. She’s at peace now. Rest in peace, Cass.’
Tori Adams, who also appeared on Married at First Sight, shared a touching message, saying, ‘My heart goes out to you and your family, Ash. I’m so sorry for your loss.’
I first discovered Ash on the latest season of Married At First Sight – season 2024, to be exact. He was matched with Madeleine Maxwell, who’s a really interesting person because she’s a psychic medium, and that pairing definitely got people talking!
Their marriage fell apart after a disastrous honeymoon, as the couple realized they didn’t connect with each other and were unable to build a relationship.
