Rachel Zoe on the end of her 26-year marriage to Rodger Berman and what ‘changed’ their relationship

Rachel Zoe is giving insight into the recent end of her 26-year marriage to Rodger Berman.

Fashion designer, 54, revealed she’s separated in a preview shown at BravoCon on Friday. She’s joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its fifteenth season.

You know, I’ve been working on redefining my relationship with Rodger. It’s a process, but I’m really trying to see him as a friend first and foremost. Honestly, I’m not quite there yet, but that’s where I’m hoping we’ll end up.

She likened her relationship to that of the couple in the movie The Notebook, noting they had been together for 33 years, married for 26 of those.

Looking back, my husband and I enjoyed 18 years just being us before we started a family. But honestly, I think things shifted when the kids came along. Over time, we simply grew apart, becoming different people with different priorities. It’s a tough thing to admit, but we just weren’t the same couple anymore.

The exes are parents to sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11.

Rachel is joining the next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with returning cast members Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, and Bozoma Saint John, as well as new cast member Amanda Frances.

She announced her involvement on the show via Instagram over the summer.

I’m thrilled to announce I’m joining #TheRealHousewivesofBeverlyHills and returning to the Bravo family! Here we go! #RHOBH ✨

Rachel Zoe first gained fame with her own reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project, on Bravo. It ran for five seasons between 2008 and 2013.

Rachel announced in June that she’s returning to television. In a video, she explained that she’d been wanting to come back when the timing was right and she had something meaningful to share, and now she feels that time has come.

She expressed her happiness to be back with everyone and hoped they felt the same, encouraging them to enjoy themselves with a cheerful ‘Mwah!’

The fifteenth season of the show will begin on Bravo on December 4th, and will be available to stream on Peacock starting the following day.

Rachel announced her split from Rodger, whom she wed in 1996, on social media in September 2024.

The former couple met in the early ’90s while they were students at George Washington University.

After 33 years as a couple and 26 years of marriage, we have mutually decided to divorce.

She continued, saying they were so happy with the close family they’d built and all the wonderful memories they’d made together.

Our children are, and will always be, our main focus. We are dedicated to raising our sons together and will continue to collaborate on our shared business ventures. We appreciate your respect for our privacy as we adjust to this change.

She signed off, ‘With love and gratitude — Rachel & Rodger.’

The multi-hyphenate filed for divorce in July of this year.
