Taylor Sheridan’s Nine-Figure Paramount Revenue Generation Revealed

Taylor Sheridan’s popular TV series have brought in at least $100 million for Paramount, as he plans to leave the studio when his current contract ends in 2028. He’s already made a deal with NBCUniversal, and will begin creating content for them in January 2029.

A recent report from TheWrap shows that Taylor Sheridan’s shows have earned Paramount over $800 million since 2021. This revenue comes from how many people subscribe to and watch shows on Paramount+. Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King have been particularly successful, bringing in $147.8 million and $146.3 million, respectively.

Surprisingly, Yellowstone comes in third place with $128.4 million in streaming revenue worldwide. This is despite being available only on Peacock in the U.S. Revenue also came from Lioness, 1883, and 1923, though the report didn’t include any figures for Landman.

The company’s revenue of $800 million is expected to continue increasing. Currently in production are seasons 4 of Mayor of Kingstown and season 3 of Tulsa King, with season 2 of Landman premiering on November 16th. A third season of Lioness has been greenlit and filming has already begun. Plus, a fourth season of Tulsa King and a new spinoff series, NOLA King, starring Samuel L. Jackson, are also in the works.

Several new shows are coming to streaming platforms, including two spin-offs of Yellowstone: The Madison and The Dutton Ranch, which are in the works for Paramount+. Y: Marshals, centered around the character Kayce Dutton, will debut on CBS in Spring 2026, with episodes also available to stream after they air on TV. Plans are also in place for future shows called 1944 and 6666, though details about their progress are still unknown.

Taylor Sheridan’s success generates significant income, making his reported $1 billion deal with NBCUniversal seem even more impressive. He’s transformed Paramount+ into a leading streaming service, largely thanks to his popular shows—especially those centered around male characters and crime. His work is now crucial to Paramount+’s overall streaming performance.

Even though Sheridan has three years remaining on his contract, his shows are a major reason Paramount+’s streaming service has become so popular. It’s uncertain if these shows would generate as much revenue without his involvement, suggesting his eventual departure could significantly impact Paramount+’s finances.
