Spike Chunsoft, the creators of games like Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, has announced that Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Plus is coming to Android and iOS in Japan. The game will cost 3,500 yen, which is about $22. This mobile version includes all previously released downloadable content, both free and paid. It originally launched on Switch and PC in 2024.

In this story, Shiren and his talking ferret companion, Koppa, have a strange vision of a faraway land and a girl who needs help. This vision leads them to Serpentcoil Island, but they quickly realize they aren’t the only ones seeking something there – many other adventurers have also arrived, all hoping to find a legendary treasure hidden within a dangerous monster.

Players can collect tools, team up with allies, and ask for Rescue

While playing, you’ll have to quickly adjust to unexpected changes as you gather tools and team up with others to make it through the more challenging levels. I personally enjoy how unpredictable the game is – the level design, the items you discover, and where you encounter enemies or helpful characters are all different each time you play, which keeps things exciting.

One particularly helpful feature is the Rescue system, which lets you call for assistance if you happen to fall in a dungeon, allowing you to continue your progress without starting over. The game also has a charming look and feel, with a beautiful Japanese-inspired art style, adorable characters, and engaging dungeons.
