Before it hits theaters, People magazine published three photos from the upcoming romantic comedy, You, Me & Tuscany, offering fans a sneak peek at the movie.

In an interview with People, Bailey and Page discussed their roles in You, Me & Tuscany. Halle Bailey, known for The Little Mermaid, was immediately drawn to the story, especially Anna’s strong ambition and dedication.

I was immediately hooked! Anna’s story and character are really compelling, and I loved seeing her drive and ambition. It’s just a genuinely uplifting and positive film.

I was instantly drawn to the idea of You, Me & Tuscany when I first heard about it. Someone described it as being like “Tuscany in the summer,” and that just sounded perfect – I knew I had to check it out!

Will [Packer] and I briefly talked, and then he sent me a text asking about going to Tuscany in the summer. I immediately said yes. It’s amazing to be part of a project with Halle Bailey that lets you escape into a beautiful, romantic world and explore who you are, away from daily routines. As soon as you meet Halle, you just want the best for her, and she’s the perfect person to take this journey.

The two actors met for the first time at the Met Gala, which is a “wild place to meet someone.”

Bailey and Page were already working together on the show You, Me & Tuscany when Bailey first noticed Page’s striking red outfit. She immediately went to introduce herself, as she and her sister, Chloe Bailey, were big fans of his work in Bridgerton.

Bailey and Page spent time together at the Met Gala, admitting it felt quite intimidating.

I was absolutely thrilled when I found out I’d be working with him! I’ve been a huge fan for ages – I’ve seen everything he’s done and think he’s amazing. I actually remember the first time I saw him, he was wearing all red! It’s so funny, I was totally nervous about approaching him, wondering if he’d be friendly. But then I thought, ‘Wait a minute, we’re making a movie together!’ So I just went over and introduced myself.

As a film buff, I immediately noticed the incredible connection between Bailey and Page. Page even said it was hard not to get lost in Halle’s gaze, and you could really feel a sense of safety and trust between them on screen. It was captivating!

There’s an immediate connection with someone you have chemistry with. You quickly get a sense of who they are and feel comfortable and safe being around them. We jumped right into intense scenes – our first ones for this movie were filmed in a kitchen, which felt fitting because it was a real test of how well we’d work together under pressure.

Page shared that Bailey is incredibly fast – practically an Olympic athlete! He realized this while filming a chase scene, which he initially thought would be simple. However, Bailey’s speed made it surprisingly difficult for him to keep up.

Bailey playfully challenged Page to a race, even saying she could win. Page replied, telling her he expected a rematch.

There’s this one scene where I’m supposed to be chasing Halle, and honestly, it’s way harder than it looks! She’s incredibly fast – seriously, like an Olympic athlete. It’s a real challenge just trying to keep up!

Halle Bailey is famous for her singing as one half of the duo Chloe x Halle, and for her acting roles in recent films and TV shows. She starred in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid, the movie musical The Color Purple, and the TV series Grown-ish, which is a spin-off of Black-ish.

Regé-Jean Page became a household name after playing the Duke of Hastings in the first season of the popular Netflix series Bridgerton. Since his time on the show, he’s appeared in films like The Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Black Bag.

Halle Bailey, known for The Little Mermaid, and Jonathan Bailey, famous for Bridgerton, are teaming up for a new romantic comedy called You, Me & Tuscany. The film is expected to be a lighthearted and enjoyable experience.
