As a lifestyle expert, I’m fascinated by challenges that push people outside their comfort zones! Right now, a celebrity is heading into the Australian outback – and she’ll be there for at least two weeks – all while competing on ‘I’m A Celebrity.’ It’s a serious commitment to roughing it, and I’m sure it’ll be quite the experience!
Alex Scott has admitted she’s worried about being separated from her girlfriend, Jess Glynne, for an extended period, and is especially looking forward to being met by Jess at the bridge when she exits the jungle.
She told the Daily Mail that this is the longest she and her partner have been separated since they began dating in 2023, adding that it will be a challenge for their relationship.
I was so fascinated to hear the former Lioness talk about when she and her partner finally decided to go public with their relationship! She shared the reasons behind their wait, and it was really insightful to understand their perspective.
She explained that they intentionally kept their relationship private at first. They wanted to build a strong connection and understand each other before involving the public.
When asked what she’ll miss most about Jess, she said it was the simple things, like Jess cooking pasta for her. She described those calm moments as a welcome relief when life gets hectic – just coming home, sharing a meal, and enjoying a glass of wine together.

Alex added that he’d likely have a football game on in the background. He said he’s really going to miss something, particularly when he’s feeling hungry.
I’m probably going to be obsessing over getting Jessica’s pasta – that’s all I can think about right now.
The commentator explained that she expects the show ‘I’m A Celebrity’ to be difficult, as she’s built up a strong defense mechanism because of how the public views her.
In 2020, when rumors spread that Alex would be taking over from Sue Barker on the show Question of Sport, she was flooded with hateful and prejudiced comments online, including racist and sexist abuse from internet trolls.
She mused: ‘For me, opening up is going to be the tough part.
I’ve always protected myself by keeping people at a distance, building up walls to avoid getting hurt.
I feel I haven’t always lived up to expectations, but recently I’ve regained my confidence, especially because of how people react to my work on certain projects and appearances.
Alex believes the hardest part of being in the jungle will be the lack of personal time and not being able to leave when she wants.

I’m actually quite shy, even though people who know me are aware of that. It’s funny because when you see me on TV, people often assume I’m the most outgoing and talkative person around.
I’m expecting my biggest hurdle to be overcoming my shyness around people with strong personalities.
Lionesses are popular with viewers of the show, and in 2022, Jill Scott, age 38, won the title of Queen of the Jungle.
Just before the first episode of I’m A Celebrity airs on Sunday, Alex, AngryGinge, Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, and Jack Osbourne were seen finishing their initial challenge.
The celebrities arrived at the luxurious Rivermead Estate and were met by the show’s familiar hosts, Ant and Dec, marking the start of their experience on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’
Contestants had to endure the frightening challenge of placing a snake-filled glass bowl over their heads, all for the chance to win a comfortable bed in camp by securing a spot in the Getaway Car.
The three celebrities who lost the challenge were forced into the unpleasant “Coco Van” – a bus filled with fish waste – driven by Kiosk Kev, and as a result, they won’t receive any of the usual comforts when they reach camp.
Even though the campers have finished the qualifying trials, they won’t begin their Jungle experience until Saturday.

The trial was delayed by severe weather – heavy rain and thunderstorms moved in over Australia’s Gold Coast, and the filming ended up taking several hours.
Yesterday, the five remaining contestants – Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, and Shona McGarty – faced their trial by parachuting onto a beach from helicopters.
The contestants cheered and hugged on the beach after successfully parachuting from helicopters, marking a great start to the competition.
Oh my gosh, it was incredible! Ant and Dec were up there on the headland, waving to the new campmates after they finished that crazy challenge! I seriously couldn’t believe my eyes – it was such a perfect moment, and I was screaming with excitement! They just looked so proud, and it made my heart soar! I wish I was there to wave back!
Oh my gosh, when the new celebrities finally arrived, Ant and Dec were there! They were standing on this huge stack of yellow crates overlooking everything, but they didn’t actually say anything to the new group – just watched them come in. It was so strange, but honestly, even that was amazing to see!
The celebrities were collected by helicopters from Surfer’s Paradise early in the day, and the entire filming process lasted over four hours. Their helicopters spent a considerable amount of time flying around the National Park before the shoot was completed.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been watching the show, and let me tell you, things got real when the celebrities faced a series of tough bush challenges! The three who didn’t quite make the cut were whisked away in what ITV is playfully calling the ‘Cocko Van’ – a pretty beat-up vehicle, to say the least!
As a huge fan, I’m so excited for I’m A Celebrity to start on Sunday! But I’m a little worried because the forecast isn’t great – it looks like it’s going to rain for the next three days, meaning our celebrities are going to be dealing with a really soggy camp. I feel for them already!
For a long time, ‘I’m A Celebrity’ has been a show that sparked discussion, often because of its controversial casting choices, like signing figures such as Nigel Farage and Matt Hancock.
Last year, ‘I’m A Celebrity’ featured a less controversial group of stars, including Coleen Rooney and Danny Jones from McFly. This was after show bosses decided to exclude politicians from participating.
It was, as a result, a year that passed with little to no drama.
ITV executives are implementing new rules for this year’s show, which they anticipate will be the most challenging one yet. These changes are designed to encourage the celebrity contestants to be more proactive, contribute fully, and avoid being passive.
As a huge fan, I was really surprised to hear they’ve taken away the option for family to send in little comforts like personalized pillows! Apparently, the producers felt the celebrities were getting too comfortable and wanted to keep things a bit more challenging for them. It’s a bit sad, honestly, because those little touches from home seemed to really help them cope, but I guess they’re aiming for a more raw and unpredictable show now.
Celebrities can get a custom framed photo of anyone they like by completing a challenge.
Olly Nash, the show’s executive producer, explained to the Daily Mail that the show is intentionally challenging and demanding, and he sees nothing wrong with emphasizing that aspect.
‘We need to see more celebrities earning their keep, that’s the most important thing.
This season has a record number of celebrity participants, making the competition fiercer than ever before.
Last year’s cast was a very positive and cheerful group who enjoyed working together. This year, they’ll face more challenges, take on greater responsibilities, and have a more significant role at camp.
They can’t remain passive anymore; they need to rise to the occasion and accept the consequences of their actions.
Several celebrities on this year’s show are likely to become irritable if they’re hungry or tired.

This year a new feature referred to as the Getaway Car has been introduced at the launch show.
The first ten celebrities are divided into two groups, and the first two people to finish challenges in each group—which include a messy task involving fish—will earn a ride to camp in the Getaway Car, complete with a celebratory drink.
They are then greeted by more comfortable beds in the camp with mattresses.
The three contestants left from each team then ride in a less comfortable van, known as the Coco Van.
Producers of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ have reported a significant increase in the number of pythons around the camp this year, with more snakes being spotted than in any previous season, according to Mr. Nash.
He mentioned seeing more snakes during this stage of construction than he’d ever encountered before – including large pythons nearly as long as the log beside him.
I’ve spotted quite a few snakes recently – about six or seven in the past couple of weeks. I’ve only seen them when people are around, which isn’t often, as they usually hide when we’re building the camp.
Following a recent report in the Daily Mail, a new rule has been implemented on the show. For the first time in 25 years, if a celebrity participates in two consecutive trials, they will automatically be safe from the next public vote.
Viewers are pleased with the changes, especially after last year when Dean McCullough was unfairly chosen for seven consecutive Bushtucker Trials, and things became difficult.
Viewers expressed frustration on X, requesting a limit on how often Dean participates in trials. They felt it wasn’t entertaining to see him do so many, and that it was taking up too much of the show’s time, preventing other contestants from getting a chance to shine and ultimately harming the show’s quality.
Network executives have agreed to let all celebrities participate in the challenges, earn stars, and compete for votes from the public. However, they’re planning to make everyday life in camp more difficult.
If a contestant needs a bath, two others must work together to pedal a bicycle and pump the water needed. This also means there’s less privacy and space for anyone wanting to be alone.
I’m A Celebrity launches on Sunday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX
