FKA twigs was spotted enjoying the music and dancing on the streets of New York City on Thursday while promoting her latest album.

The 37-year-old English singer was seen dancing in Hudson Square while a video was being filmed. She’s promoting her fourth studio album, Eusexua Afterglow, which is coming out soon.

Tahliah Debrett Barnett, known professionally as the dancer and producer, flaunted her long legs in a daring outfit: very short, studded leather hotpants, matching tights, and a leather jacket.

She completed her bold outfit with platform Balenciaga boots and a black Heliot Emil bag. She was also wearing headphones and seemed relaxed, listening to music.

Fans were surprised to see the actress from ‘The Crow’ at the 2025 Met Gala, especially since she had recently cancelled several concerts in the US because of problems with her visa.

Her appearance sparked confusion online, with many fans wondering if she was still having visa issues, even though she had previously stated they were resolved.

This news follows her recent cancellation of several concerts in the US and Latin America, including her performance at Coachella, which she had to do at the end of March.

I’m seriously losing it right now! Everyone on X – used to be Twitter, still feels weird saying that – is completely baffled. I saw one person ask, and it’s exactly what I’ve been thinking, ‘Wait…didn’t we all hear her visa wasn’t even valid?!’ I need answers! This is wild.

‘Oh suddenly her visa works…’ another penned.

A third added: ‘So, she got her visa for the met gala but not Coachella… okay girl.’

Someone else pointed out that she had trouble getting visas to perform in Latin America and the US, but not to attend the Met Gala, adding, ‘That makes it pretty clear to me.’

‘So what happened to those visa complications…’ wrote another.

One person joked that it was hilarious she chose to attend this event instead of playing at Coachella.

She clarified that the problems with her US visa stemmed from her team submitting the necessary documents late, which is why she ended up attending the Met Gala instead of performing her shows.

In a recent online video, she began by saying hello and explaining that she wanted to share what’s been going on in her personal life.

We’ve hit a snag with the tour’s preparations. I just found out that the production team didn’t submit the necessary visa paperwork on time, which means we might not be able to perform in the USA. It’s a logistical issue with getting everything organized for the tour.

‘I don’t take this lightly, I am completely devastated to be honest with you, I am heartbroken.’

I’ll be rescheduling these shows, and I’ll share the new dates very soon.

I’m so excited to finally share Eusexua with everyone – it’s something I’m incredibly proud of and a real highlight of my career.

The singer was scheduled to perform in Chicago on March 26th and in Toronto on March 30th, with two additional concerts planned for New York City on April 3rd and 4th.

She had previously confirmed the axed tour dates in a statement posted to Instagram.

She expressed her sadness in a statement, explaining that while she was thrilled with her new work – which she felt was some of her best – she understood the news would disappoint many who had already made plans and spent money on tickets.

Just days before the Met Gala, FKA Twigs performed at the opening of GITANO NYC on May 1st. This was her first public appearance in the US since she had to cancel some previous shows.

She captivated the audience, including celebrities like Chloë Sevigny, Luann de Lesseps, and Adam Lambert, with her smooth voice and captivating performance.
