While the mother of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty tries to resolve a difficult conflict with his fiancée, Holly Ramsay (Gordon Ramsay’s daughter), another woman who had a negative experience with the celebrity chef has offered her support.
I’ve learned that Sarah Symonds, who was reportedly having an affair with swimmer Tom Ramsay, reached out to Caroline Peaty, his mother, to share what she’s learned from her own experiences.
I was really upset by the unkind comments I was seeing, so I tried to message Mrs. Peaty to let her know I was thinking of her,” Sarah explained. “I honestly didn’t expect her to see it, let alone reply, but she did!”
She was a truly kind and gracious person. We connected right away, and it turns out we have a mutual friend.
Sarah alleges she had a seven-year affair with married chef Gordon Ramsay, starting in 2008. She claims she understands firsthand how the Ramsays – and their public relations team – treat people, and says she’s still affected by the experience.

So I, more than anyone, can empathise with what Caroline and her family must be going through.
Gordon likely won them over with displays of affection and extravagant acts, behaving like a classic narcissist. He probably abandoned his humble beginnings, dismissing them when they no longer served his image. It’s all so superficial.
Sarah, who is receiving treatment for breast cancer, expressed sympathy for the mother who lost her son to the Ramsay cult. She encouraged Mrs. Peaty to stay strong and feel fortunate she didn’t attend the wedding, describing it as being filled with people who only seek to flatter those in power and have excessive self-importance. Sarah believes Mrs. Peaty is a better person than those individuals.
Ramsay’s spokesman declines to comment.
Exiled Abbott rubs shoulders with lords
Despite being suspended by the Labour Party, Diane Abbott remains undeterred. This week, she participated in a meeting of The Beaverbrook Forum – a group founded to encourage lively and well-reasoned debate, in the spirit of its founder, the 1st Lord Beaverbrook – alongside former Conservative leader Lord Michael Howard and various venture capitalists.
On Remembrance Day, Max Aitken, alongside his cousin Jonathan, highlighted a story about their ancestor. In 1940, Churchill tasked him with dramatically increasing aircraft production – something officials thought was impossible. As Max explained, their ancestor, known as Beaverbrook, overcame obstacles by challenging rules and, in just four months, successfully doubled production. Max suggested that this could be a valuable lesson for Sir Keir Starmer, if current Labour party officials would allow it to be shared.
After 45 years in fashion, designer Jasper Conran – known for creating outfits Princess Diana loved – is retiring. He says it’s been a wonderful career and a privilege to have designed clothes for so many people. Conran is the son of Sir Terence Conran, who founded the Habitat home store chain, and author Shirley Conran.
Jasper, who is 65, says he plans to stay active. He’s excited to focus his energy and ideas on growing his hotel business, which is expanding quickly.
Jenny admits facelift dilemma
Jenny Seagrove, often called a classic beauty, has considered getting a facelift but admits she’s struggled with the decision.

The 68-year-old actress, whose partner Bill Kenwright passed away in 2023 at age 78, admits she’s become very conscious of aging while filming and doesn’t enjoy it. She often wonders if she should get a facelift, and others suggest it too, which makes her anxious. However, she finds inspiration in actresses like Judi Dench and Maggie Smith, who embrace their natural aging process and deliver fantastic performances, reminding her that beauty lies in experience and character.
Honestly, the thought of getting a facelift? It just terrifies me! I see so many people – especially women – who go a little too far with fillers and surgery, and they end up looking… well, not themselves. It’s just not my style. So, I’ve made a firm decision: I’m officially staying far, far away from any kind of facelift, and I’m perfectly happy to embrace whatever comes with that choice! I’d rather age naturally, honestly.
Okay, so you will NOT believe this! I was just reading about Dr. Hilary Jones, you know, the TV doctor? Apparently, he and David and Victoria Beckham have something totally in common! They BOTH named their oldest kids after the place they were… well, you know. He worked on this crazy remote island, Tristan da Cunha, way out in the South Atlantic, and that’s where his son, Tristan, was… created! Isn’t that amazing? He jokes that at least Tristan wasn’t conceived in Brentford – can you imagine a ‘Brentford Jones’? Seriously, it kinda rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? I’m obsessed with this story!
Sharon Horgan’s quick and passionate relationship with businessman Jeremy Rainbird was the real-life inspiration behind her popular Channel 4 comedy, Catastrophe, which humorously portrays the ups and downs of modern relationships.
Six years after his divorce, Jeremy, age 52, has started dating someone new: a stylish blonde fashion designer who is 13 years younger than his ex-wife, Sharon.

Jeremy, a father of two teenage daughters with his ex-partner Sharon, is now dating Caroline Louise Towning, 42. They’ve recently been seen together on trips to Los Angeles, Nevada, and Mykonos, and have shared loving photos from their travels online.
This couple is serious about fashion: they jointly run Maison Rockman, a brand focused on black, leather-look designs, and plan to launch it next spring.
Sharon revealed earlier this year she regretted not ending her 14-year marriage sooner.
Davie in desperate plea
Tim Davie, the BBC’s outgoing director-general who earned £540,000 a year, is handling the planning application himself for renovations to his £4 million Oxfordshire farmhouse. Despite easily being able to afford professional help, he’s submitted the plans – including hand-drawn sketches – directly to the council. He wants to replace two kitchen windows with a sliding patio door to better enjoy the views and make it easier to get to his large garden, which also includes a barn, milking parlour, and stables.
