RHOSLC star Heather Gay reveals she has undergone $200K in cosmetic procedures: ‘Worth every penny’

Heather Gay shared that she’s spent approximately $200,000 on cosmetic procedures over the years, and she doesn’t regret a thing.

Jen Shah, 51, a reality TV star from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, recently opened up about a sensitive subject in an interview with Bustle, which was published on Wednesday.

Okay, so last year everyone was obsessed with what looked like a totally different face on her! It all came out that she’d been using Ozempic to lose weight, and honestly, it was all anyone could talk about. It was just… shocking to see such a change, and then to find out how she did it. I couldn’t stop looking, and neither could anyone else!

Heather, co-owner of Beauty Lab + Laser, started getting Botox in her 30s and now has it done every three months.

She also mentioned getting fillers, facials, and laser hair removal, plus a treatment called Sculptra that boosts collagen production.

The treatment involves using long needles on the face, and while Heather admits it’s a bit intense, she describes it as simply something that boosts collagen production.

She explained that Sculptra costs between $800 and $1,000 per vial, and most patients need four to six vials for a full treatment, bringing the total cost to around $4,000.

Heather first got lip fillers seven years ago and now gets them touched up only once or twice a year.

The usual cost for treatment is $600. I’ve spent $11,912 at Beauty Lab so far this year. Some clients visit twice a week and spend over $8,000 each month.

Before joining The Real Housewives in 2020, Heather had already had two nose surgeries, the second one intended to refine the results of the first.

The mother of three wanted another nose job, but her surgeon recommended against it because of existing scar tissue.

She spent approximately $14,500 on a second rhinoplasty (nose job) and eyelid surgery.

Heather talked about getting cosmetic surgery, often called a ‘mommy makeover,’ during her marriage to Frank William ‘Billy’ Gay III. They married in 2000 and divorced in 2014.

The TV personality revealed she had both a tummy tuck and breast augmentation, and that her ex-husband had not only wanted her to have the procedures but also covered the costs.

Okay, so I’ve been tracking all of Heather’s procedures, and she finally spilled the beans on how much they really cost! Apparently, her tummy tuck was a whopping $18,000 to $20,000 – can you believe it?! And the boob job? Between $8,000 and $12,000. I’ve been saving up, obviously, and knowing these numbers just… completes the picture, you know? It’s all so fascinating!

‘But the prices have gone way up – it’s now around 40 grand for a mommy makeover.’

The California resident shared that she’s lost 30 pounds by using the medications Ozempic and Mounjaro.

When I gain weight, I usually spend a week or two focusing on dieting. This typically costs about $500 a month, though some programs can be as expensive as $1,200.

She reflected on her ‘fourth season glow-up’ where she lost weight and also got $30,000 veneers.

Before I changed my appearance and gained confidence, I didn’t understand how much importance people place on looks, or how others saw me. I used to be harder on myself and probably seemed less intimidating.

Heather later added that ‘there should be no shame in people wanting to change the way they look.’

Ugh, she’s SO right! It’s just… heartbreaking to see how much pressure there is on women to look perfect these days, especially if they’re on TV. It feels like everything has to be fake and manufactured now, and it’s just… not real beauty at all. She totally gets it, and it makes me so mad that this is what women are up against!

It seems like everyone strives for flawless teeth, long eyelashes, and perfect hair. I think of it as the standard look for a ‘Housewife,’ and the more someone embraces that role, the more important these things become.

She told Bustle that she estimates she’s spent around $200,000 on cosmetic procedures and other ways to alter her appearance, but feels it was money well spent.

Heather revealed in 2023 that she had used Ozempic for weight loss, and recently stated she continues to face criticism regarding her body.

She told E! News she’s been criticized for almost everything, including her weight and the fact that she takes medication. It feels impossible to please everyone, she explained.

The celebrity also shared that she feels no different now than she did before, explaining, ‘I was happy with myself then, and I’m happy with myself now. Ozempic just happened to be a solution that worked for me.’

Heather has been actively working and recently starred in the Bravo limited series, Surviving Mormonism, which began airing on Tuesday of this week.

The reality TV star left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the time she started filming The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The show features her talking to others who have also left the Mormon faith.

She is also a main cast member on RHOSLC and the sixth season began airing in September.

The star joined The Real Housewives franchise back in 2020.
