Riot Games announces End of Year Charity Voting campaign

Riot Games announced the 87 nonprofit groups that will receive donations raised through its year-long charitable efforts.

Riot Games has been running charity events all year, including limited-edition in-game items, to support important causes. Now, players get to choose which of 87 different nonprofits will receive the money raised.

So, basically, we as players get to decide which charities get some serious funding! Riot’s doing a Charity Voting thing at the end of the year, and they’re putting over $5 million into a pool – split up by region – from in-game events. It’s awesome that we get a say in where that money goes!

We’ve teamed up with GlobalGiving to offer you a chance to support one of 87 incredible nonprofits working in 29 different areas. You get to choose the organization that best aligns with your values.

We’re continually impressed by the positive impact our players have when they work together. They can support the causes they care about, and we’re proud to help highlight the important work nonprofits are doing in communities everywhere.

Okay, so here’s how the donations work: in each region, the charity with the most votes gets half of the total donation money for that area. The other two charities will each get a quarter. And the best part? Riot’s making sure every charity involved gets at least $10,000, no matter what. It’s awesome to see them supporting so many good causes!

You can vote for your favorite charity on the Riot Games Charity Vote page. Make sure to cast your vote by November 27th to help support a great cause and make a difference! Since 2019, the Riot Social Impact Fund has raised over $63 million for more than 450 nonprofits around the world.
