LEGO recreates sci-fi icon in first for the brand – here’s how to pre-order

LEGO has done something new – they’ve built a replica of one of the most famous spaceships in science fiction, and you can reserve yours today! Following their announcement of a partnership with Star Trek earlier this year, LEGO has revealed its first Star Trek set: a detailed model of the iconic USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

As a huge Star Trek fan, I was so excited to see the new USS Enterprise LEGO set! It’s definitely a challenging build with 3,600 pieces, so it’s geared towards more experienced LEGO builders. But trust me, it’s worth it! Once you finish it, this thing is massive – over 23.5 inches long, about 10.5 inches tall, and almost 19 inches wide. It’s an incredible display piece!

The LEGO version of Captain Picard’s starship includes a command saucer that can be removed, as well as a separate main body. The shuttle bay doors open to reveal two small shuttlecraft inside, and the ship has carefully designed warp engines.

The device costs £349.99 and is available for pre-order now in the UK. It will officially launch on Friday, November 28th, coinciding with the start of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

This LEGO set includes a stand to display your model at an angle, and an information card with interesting facts about the USS Enterprise.

The set comes with nine minifigures to bring the ship to life, including Captain Jean-Luc Picard (as portrayed by Patrick Stewart in The Next Generation), Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Lieutenant Commander and counselor Deanna Troi, the ship’s bartender Guinan, and Ensign Wesley Crusher.

The set comes with several accessories, and many are designed for particular characters – like a teacup for Picard and a trombone for Riker. It even includes a figure of Data’s cat, Spot!

Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander Riker, shared his excitement about the new LEGO set, saying fans will finally be able to command the Enterprise themselves – but this time, it’s built with LEGO bricks!

“This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece.”

LEGO is holding a contest for LEGO Insiders members in select countries, like the UK, to win a LEGO Enterprise set signed by Jonathan Frakes. The contest runs until December 1st, and you can find all the official rules and details here.

Customers who buy the new Enterprise set between November 28th and December 1st – during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend – can get a free LEGO Icons Star Trek Type-15 Shuttlepod set. This offer is available both online at the LEGO Store and in physical LEGO stores, while supplies last.

The fully assembled shuttlepod model measures 6cm x 12cm x 8cm (approximately 2.5″ x 4.5″ x 3.5″), but it can’t be purchased as a separate item.

This model features doors that open like wings and a rear hatch. It also comes with a minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren, a character played by Michelle Forbes in later seasons of The Next Generation. Forbes returned to the role, along with many of the original Next Generation actors, in Star Trek: Picard.

The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! You can find Ariana & Witches at newsstands and online for only £8.99.
