Eddie Murphy, 64, is supported by his glamorous wife Paige Butcher, 46, at the premiere of his new Being Eddie documentary – which gives a rare insight into their marriage and family life

Eddie Murphy and his wife, Paige Butcher, attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new Netflix documentary, Being Eddie, on Wednesday night.

The couple, a 64-year-old actor and a 46-year-old model, got married last year. They met on the set of the movie Big Momma’s House 2 in 2012 and have two children together: a nine-year-old daughter named Izzy and a six-year-old son named Max.

I always say a great outfit starts with basics, and Eddie nailed it for his recent outing! He kept things effortlessly cool and modern with a classic black bomber jacket, a sleek high-neck top, and some perfectly fitted jeans. It’s a look anyone can pull off – comfortable, stylish, and always in good taste.

I absolutely loved his outfit! He finished off a really cool, relaxed look with some classic black boots. And honestly, seeing him and Paige together on the red carpet was just adorable – they looked so cozy and in love!

Paige looked stunning in a white, fitted midi dress. It featured bold shoulder pads, a low-cut neckline, and a beautifully ruffled top.

She made her outfit taller with nude heels and completed the look with a diamond necklace and a delicate bracelet.

The beauty beamed from ear to ear as she cosied up to her husband for several sweet snaps. 

It was such a fun night! Alongside all the big names, I spotted Vernon Lynch Jr., Myles Murphy, Christian Murphy, Eric Murphy, Bella Murphy, Shayne Audra Murphy, the hilarious Martin Lawrence, Bria Murphy Xavier, and Angie Gonzalez – a truly fantastic group of people were there!

The new Netflix documentary, edited by Academy Award winner Angus Wall, chronicles the journey of Murphy’s career and offers a personal look at his marriage and family.

The documentary’s release follows Eddie’s recent comments about how his ten children are the most important thing in his life, and his reflections on being a father.

Before having children, the comedian admitted he was very self-centered and sometimes pulled all-nighters. Now, he’s completely changed his priorities and lifestyle.

I’ve been following Eddie’s story for a while now, and it’s been really tough to watch. He and Mel B went through such a difficult paternity battle over their son, Angel. For years, Eddie wouldn’t acknowledge he was Angel’s father, which caused a huge rift between them. Thankfully, it seems like they’ve finally started to reconnect, and I’m so happy for all of them.

In his latest documentary, Eddie explained that his children are his top priority. He shared that before having kids, life revolved around himself, but once they arrived, his focus completely shifted to their needs.

I used to stay awake for incredibly long stretches, sometimes going two days without sleep. But after I met my wife, Paige Butcher, I started following her routine. Now, we usually watch a couple of episodes of Seinfeld and then head to bed.

Actor Eddie Murphy has ten children: Eric (35) with Paulette McNeely, Bria (35), Myles (32), Shayne (30), Zola (25), and Bella (23) with Nicole Murphy, Christian (34) with Tamara Hood, and Izzy and Max with his current wife, Paige.

Earlier this year, it came to light that the actor and a former Spice Girl had a surprisingly positive relationship after their split, successfully co-parenting their child, who is now a transgender man.

Mel, age 50, shared with US Weekly that Angel and Eddie enjoy spending time together, even going on vacation as a family. She also praised Eddie as a dedicated father to his ten children.

It was difficult to build a healthy relationship with Eddie while I was still in my abusive marriage to Stephen Belafonte, which he denies.

Melanie Brown, known as Scary Spice, recently married Rory McPhee and shared that she’s gradually learned how to effectively co-parent with him. She also mentioned that their friendship has become even stronger as their son gets older.

Mel raved about Angel, explaining that he fully immersed himself in Japanese culture during a trip there last year with his girlfriend. Angel is fluent in Japanese and has a clear vision for his future and goals.

Mel and Eddie first encountered each other in 2006 at a large party Eddie hosted at his Beverly Hills home. Mel says Eddie specifically organized the event hoping to meet her.

Mel said she was immediately overwhelmed when she first saw him. She felt an instant connection, like she’d known him forever, and believed he might be her soulmate.

The couple surprised everyone with their relationship, but it didn’t last very long. Soon after, the singer – who already had a 26-year-old daughter named Phoenix with her former partner, Jimmy Gulzar – revealed she was expecting a child.

Mel explained that their relationship began to fall apart after she became pregnant. She moved to Leeds, hoping Eddie would come after her and try to reconcile.

During a TV interview, he told a reporter he wasn’t sure if he was the father and suggested a paternity test to confirm.

In a 2019 interview with Piers Morgan, Mel revealed that Eddie still feels sorry for what happened.

He regrets saying those words, especially because they were planning a baby together. They were deeply in love at the time, but things unfortunately fell apart in a very painful way.

Looking back on their relationship, she explained to the host that they shared a unique connection she hadn’t experienced with anyone else. She’d believed she’d found it before, but those people hadn’t been truthful.

He was genuinely kind and loving. He’s the person I’ll always love, and he taught me what real love means. I deeply admire and respect him for that.

In her 2018 memoir, Brutally Honest, the pop star reiterated that her relationship with the other person was much deeper and lasted longer than people realized.

She also stated that she pressured Eddie into taking a DNA test so he would accept responsibility for their child.

She explained that Eddie had a huge impact on her life, and their connection was so strong that they even got tattoos of each other’s signatures on their thighs while in Hollywood.

Mel recalled that the actor often watched classic Elvis movies and comedies like Blazing Saddles. He also shared stories about growing up in New York, including times when he and his brother, Charlie, were in foster care while their mother was sick.

‘He was fascinating to me. He’d had a life I couldn’t imagine,’ wrote Mel.
