NCSOFT has announced its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Horizon Steel Frontiers, which will be available on Android, iOS, and PC. Created with Sony’s Guerrilla Games, this is the first MMORPG set in the Horizon universe and was revealed at G-Star 2025. A release date will be announced soon.
Prepare to step into the Deadlands and hunt down colossal machines with other players
Horizon Steel Frontiers is a massive online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the popular Horizon universe. Players will explore the dangerous lands of the Deadlands, hunting machines as they do in the original Horizon games. It combines the exciting action of those hunts with the features you’d expect from an MMORPG, and there’s a lot of anticipation for its release.

In this game, you take on the role of a machine hunter. You can team up with friends to defeat massive machines or compete against other players. You’ll choose from different tribes – like the Nora, Tenakth, Utaru, and Oseram – to create and customize your unique character, and then share it with the community.

I’ve only played Horizon Zero Dawn and LEGO Horizon Adventures so far, and I’m really excited to try this new survival game. It’s set in a huge open world based on the landscapes of Arizona and New Mexico, and the combat looks great! According to Sung-Gu Lee, Executive Producer at NCSOFT, they’ve included some new and interesting ways to battle the giant machines in the game.
The game trailer looks really impressive! It seems like it will have beautiful graphics, a combat system you can tailor to your style, huge battles, and plenty of freedom to explore. Plus, it’s great that you’ll be able to play with friends on different devices.
I’m really excited about this! Jan-Bart van Beek, Studio Director at Guerrilla Games, said that people at Guerrilla were already playing Horizon Steel Frontiers together at the office and were having a great time.
Horizon Steel Frontiers is coming to Android, iOS, and PC! The developers will share the official launch date soon, so keep an eye out for updates.
