Callum Turner cosies up to sizzling co-star Monica Barbaro as they shoot their new sex comedy One Night Only on location in New York

It would be easy to assume Callum Turner was with his fiancé, Dua Lipa, when he was spotted out in New York City on Wednesday night.

The British actor, recently engaged to a pop star in July, was seen leaving a Manhattan subway station with a striking woman who was wearing very little clothing.

Thirty-five-year-old actor Matthew Turner was filming new scenes for his upcoming comedy, One Night Only, alongside Monica Barbaro. He was wearing a polo shirt and trousers during the shoot.

The new movie, directed by Will Gluck, tells the story of two people trying to have sex before marriage, but only on one specific night when it’s legally allowed.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just saw the most amazing thing! They were filming right in an abandoned subway station here in New York! I saw Turner and Barbaro – she’s 35, can you believe it? – absolutely sprinting through the turnstiles, and the cameras were rolling! It was incredible, like something out of a movie! I seriously couldn’t believe my eyes!

Actress Barbaro, known for recently portraying Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan movie A Complete Unknown, stood out in a sparkling silver dress as she joined her fellow actor on location.

The actress turned heads as she walked onto the sidewalk, largely due to her striking, close-fitting dress with a dramatic, low neckline.

Actor Henry Turner is starring in the film while also preparing to marry pop singer Dua Lipa, whom he recently called ‘the most beautiful woman in the world’.

He recently told The Times Style about how he and his partner first met, and shared the simple agreement they’ve made to keep their relationship strong despite their hectic lives and the distance between them.

Turner said they came close to failing several times – perhaps two, three, four, or even five times – before they finally succeeded in connecting.

He explained that after a series of events, when they were both free and available, he realized she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

The actor remembered immediately hitting it off while celebrating a friend’s birthday. They were seated next to each other and discovered they had both just started reading the same book, Hernan Diaz’s Trust.

He remembered a specific scene in the film where his character looks up and says, ‘I hear you. I understand.’ He explained that the message was clear and reassuring, and that moment was particularly meaningful to him.

Dua Lipa, a hugely popular singer, is currently touring the United States as part of her Radical Optimism Tour, which will finish in December.

When asked about the challenges of a long-distance relationship and wedding planning amidst busy lives, Turner explained that they overcome it all with a straightforward philosophy: it’s always worth the effort.

He praised FaceTime, calling it a great tool. He also emphasized their motto: it’s always worth making the effort to visit someone. He encouraged people that if they’re able to travel for even a couple of days, they should definitely do it.

Even if you’re feeling tired, don’t worry – you’ll still enjoy yourself and create a good memory.

Lipa announced her engagement to British Vogue in July, sharing that the decision to spend their lives together is ‘very exciting.’ She described the feeling of wanting to grow old with her partner and be best friends forever as ‘really special.’

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared that she quickly developed strong feelings for Joe Jonas and is willing to open herself up to love, despite acknowledging how frightening vulnerability can be.

She expressed a deep appreciation for love, describing it as a wonderful and inspiring experience. She embraces the intense feelings that come with it, even though being vulnerable can be frightening. She feels grateful for the ability to experience such emotions.

I used to be very careful with my feelings, always trying to protect myself from getting hurt. But now I’m choosing to let go of that fear and accept that getting hurt is sometimes part of loving someone. I’m realizing I need to open myself up to love, even if it means risking pain.
