The latest installment of the popular manhwa series has thrilled fans of Jinwoo’s story. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok continues to explore the adventures of Jinwoo’s son, Sung Suho, with surprising twists, but readers will have to wait a little longer to find out what happens next.
D&C Media, the publisher of the popular series Solo Leveling, announced a two-week pause for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok on November 12th. The series should be back with Chapter 63 on November 26th. Although the break comes soon after the series resumed, it could actually be helpful for English-language readers.
Solo Leveling Finally Came Back From an Extended Break Just to Go on Another One
I saw D&C Media (and Kakaopage) put out a statement saying they needed time for some “work reorganization.” It sounded a little vague, honestly, but it wasn’t totally out of line. With everything happening with Suho’s story, it makes sense that Daul, Jin, and Brix would need some breathing room to figure things out.
I’ve been following Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, and it seems like breaks are pretty common for this series. It just recently resumed in August after a two-month pause with what they called the end of Season 1, chapter 47. But even though new chapters were coming out in Korean, we didn’t see official English translations for about three months. Tapas finally started releasing the English version again on November 11th – and then, almost immediately, they announced another break!
The recent two-week break for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok seems to have been announced unexpectedly, as it was revealed on the originally scheduled release date for Chapter 63. Although fans are understandably disappointed, the pause gives the official English translation team a chance to get closer to the most recent chapters.
As of today, the English version of the story on Tapas is current up to chapter 57, with chapter 58 scheduled to be released on November 15th. When the Korean story continues on November 26th, the English translation will be only a few chapters behind. This break is actually beneficial for English-speaking fans of Solo Leveling, as it gives them time to catch up.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok’s Latest Chapters Are Already Moving at a Snail’s Pace

English-speaking fans might be happy about this, but most readers will be disappointed by the new break in the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok manhwa. It’s especially frustrating because the story was already progressing at a slow pace. The current storyline focuses on Sung Suho getting ready and making plans to help Suho gain the strength needed to defeat the Apostle of Itarim.
Suho discovered that the gear he makes using his Shadow Creation ability can be upgraded by other Hunters when they wear it, helping his friends get stronger even though their own leveling process is different from his. While this is a cool new feature, the story hasn’t had a major, challenging fight for Suho in several chapters. Even his last big fight against Hwang Dongsoo didn’t feel particularly important. This slow pace is starting to reduce excitement for the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok manhwa, and the current break won’t help things improve.
Good news for fans: while the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok manhwa isn’t out until late November, excitement for the Solo Leveling franchise as a whole could be at an all-time high. The Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive video game is scheduled to launch on November 17th, and rumors about a potential Solo Leveling movie are also circulating, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
A new anime film is potentially in the works, which could shed light on some unanswered questions. However, the live-action Solo Leveling series on Netflix is still a bit of a mystery. We haven’t heard any updates since Han So Hee was cast in August. There’s clearly a lot happening behind the scenes with the Solo Leveling franchise, and things might finally come together for the series soon. Meanwhile, the break in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is disappointing, especially since the manhwa was already moving slowly.
