Celebrity Traitors stars Stephen Fry and Celia Imrie reunite after THAT nail-biting finale as they join Hayley Atwell for Covent Garden’s glitzy Christmas lights switch-on

Stephen Fry and Celia Imrie, both well-known from the recent series of The Traitor, had a delightful reunion on Wednesday when they turned on the Christmas lights in Covent Garden.

I was so excited to see Hayley Atwell and Derek Jacobi together! It’s wonderful to see them connecting, especially knowing it’s been about six months since they wrapped up filming that amazing BBC series we all loved.

Stephen and Celia both remained loyal after arriving at the renowned castle in the Scottish Highlands for the competition, but their journeys ended differently due to the manipulations of Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, and Cat Burns.

Stephen’s helpful advice and leadership role made some people suspicious, and ultimately led to his exile after a heated debate.

Celia quickly became a fan favorite on the show, but her popularity was tragically cut short when Alan killed her. This happened right before her eyes, after she began to suspect he was working against them.

As a lifestyle expert, I was absolutely thrilled to be in Covent Garden last night! The atmosphere was electric as everyone gathered for the big moment – the switching on of the iconic Christmas lights. It truly felt like the official start of the festive season!

I was so impressed with Hayley’s outfit! She wore this gorgeous pale grey skirt suit by Erdem, and what really made it special was the beautiful watercolour painting incorporated into the design. It was such a unique and stylish touch.

The event included performances from popular West End musicals like The Lion King, Hercules, and Cabaret, plus a special show by the London International Gospel Choir. It also marked the lighting of London’s biggest Christmas tree, which was carefully chosen, along with all the festive decorations in and around Seven Dials.

This year’s event, “The Theatre of Christmas,” celebrated Covent Garden’s rich history as London’s theatrical heart. Representatives from Acting For Others, the area’s chosen charity, participated in the celebrations to raise money and awareness for those working in the theatre industry.

Hayley, a lifelong theatre enthusiast, was thrilled to turn on the Christmas lights in Covent Garden.

I cherish the many wonderful memories I’ve made in this neighborhood, and there’s really no place quite like Covent Garden during the Christmas season.

Celia remarked that the turning on of the lights felt like the start of something wonderful, like the beginning of a great performance.

It’s wonderful to be doing this to support Acting for Others, the organization that helps the people who work tirelessly to bring theatre to life.

Stephen said it was a truly unforgettable night, filled with live performances, unexpected acts, and a festive atmosphere as Covent Garden – the heart of London’s theatre district – illuminated its famous Christmas lights.

The air was filled with excitement as the Christmas theatre sparkled and came to life.

Stephen Fry, widely recognized as a brilliant figure in the entertainment industry, confessed to feeling ‘incredibly foolish’ while competing on the reality show, The Celebrity Traitors.

Despite being highly intelligent – with a Cambridge education, an IQ of 170, and membership in Mensa – he failed to persuade the other players he was on the side of the ‘Faithful’ and was eliminated during the discussion.

Following his brutal exit, Stephen admitted: ‘We fool ourselves, which is unbelievably stupid.

It’s important to realize people aren’t naturally good at detecting lies, and many are actually very skilled at hiding the truth. There’s simply no foolproof way to know when someone isn’t being honest.

‘It’s frustrating that the Traitors have done so well and there is no technique.

I’ve noticed that when people are called out in the round table discussions, they often launch into these incredibly complex and frankly silly explanations, trying to prove they’re one of the Faithful. But honestly, when it happened to me, I just laughed it off. It seemed like the simplest and most effective response.

As a huge fan of reality TV, I was glued to the finale of ‘The Traitors’ last week! It was seriously suspenseful, but ultimately Alan Carr managed to pull off an amazing game, successfully deceiving the Faithfuls and walking away with the entire prize! What a win!

In the last episode, the final five contestants—Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, David Olusoga, and Alan—completed a challenging final task on board the show’s iconic steam train.

The job seemed straightforward: get on the train, locate the keys, open the crates, and grab the gold – all before time ran out in 20 minutes.

However, staying true to the show’s dramatic style, host Claudia Winkleman surprised everyone by revealing the crates were actually filled with explosives.

Fortunately, the team successfully retrieved the gold and exited the train just before it exploded, bringing the total prize money to a remarkable £87,500.

The group then faced one last roundtable where suspicions ran high.

Joe suspected Alan and Cat were the Traitors, so he agreed to vote with David’s opposition, planning to reveal his suspicions about Alan and Cat later on.

Everyone watched anxiously as David fought to stay in the competition, but ultimately Cat was eliminated after Joe unexpectedly changed his vote.

Alan, the last remaining ‘Traitor’, explained that Cat leaving the game made things much harder for him, as he was now on his own in trying to win.

Everyone remained worried that a spy was still among them, as the singer didn’t reveal who she really was when she said goodbye.

Nick unexpectedly began to question Joe’s trustworthiness after seeing Joe apologize to Cat when she was eliminated.

After being unexpectedly eliminated, Joe expressed his disappointment, saying he misjudged the situation and felt betrayed by those he trusted.

With just David, Alan and Nick, it was up to them to decide if there was a Traitor in their midst.

David said: ‘I’ve never believed Alan is a Traitor.’

Nick also voted to finish the game, believing both players were being honest and that they’d succeeded. However, Alan surprised everyone with a shocking announcement that changed everything.
