Emily Blunt reveals the secrets to working with her husband John Krasinski as she sizzles for ELLE’s 2025 Women In Hollywood Celebration issue

Emily Blunt shared how she and John Krasinski make their professional relationship work, while gracing the cover of ELLE’s 2025 Women In Hollywood issue.

The actress, 42, and John, 46, have been married since 2010, and they share two children.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt starred as a married couple, Lee and Evelyn Abbott, in the popular 2018 film A Quiet Place. The movie follows their struggle to protect their family in a world overrun by dangerous creatures.

For ELLE’s 2025 Women in Hollywood issue (December 2025/January 2026), Emily shared the secrets to maintaining a strong marriage in a recent photoshoot.

She felt he hadn’t realized his own potential. Seeing him discover what he could do was amazing, like witnessing someone gain a superpower.

I told them at the beginning that I was really excited to work with them, but I needed to be sure they knew what they were doing when it came to filming. I explained that I didn’t have any filmmaking experience myself, and I just wanted to understand how it would all work.

He was laughing and confidently stated, ‘I think I actually know how to do this, though I’m not sure why.’

‘Then, my God, did he. And can you imagine if he thought I was really s**t?

‘That would not be good.

Looking back, I truly believe that movie only worked because we genuinely respected and admired each other. If that hadn’t been there, it would have been a complete failure, honestly. It just wouldn’t have worked at all.

For the shoot, Emily turned heads in a strapless leather corset and white tulle maxi skirt.

She then stunned in a floral dress before changing into a tailored white jacket and pleated skirt.

Okay, let me tell you about one of my favorite looks from this actress! She absolutely nailed a sophisticated vibe in a navy blue suit with a really lovely texture. The gold details on the hardware just elevated the whole outfit – it was a perfect touch of polish.

For her final outfit, Emily stunned in a black suit midi dress with an eye-catching white collar.

Actress Jessie Buckle graced ELLE’s celebration issue, looking stunning in a black dress.

The 35-year-old actress recently appeared in the film Hamnet, a Shakespeare adaptation, alongside Paul Mescal. The movie is scheduled to come out in 2026.

She told the publication that she and her co-star had a natural connection, making it easy to work together and explore the characters’ journeys.

‘As friends, we knew we could hold all of that and we did.

‘And more than any male co-star I’ve had, it was the fullest version of what that was.’

When asked about the film’s message regarding grief and love, she simply stated: ‘Love is wonderful and worth experiencing, even with the pain that comes with loss. What’s the alternative – isolating yourself?’

Life continues, even in the face of death. Though Hamnet passed away, he lives on through Shakespeare’s work. Shakespeare transformed a personal tragedy into something lasting and universal, giving his son’s story a significance that extends far beyond his brief life.

‘Maybe we have to live like that.’

Hamnet was co-edited and directed by Chloé Zhao.

Jessie shared that while she’s worked with many female directors, it wasn’t a deliberate goal of hers.

She found the content particularly engaging, and expressed that the unique way women directors use language has profoundly impacted her perspective.

Reading the scripts they send me feels like encountering someone I wish I had met before.

Their films consistently explore compelling questions, intriguing characters, and a deep understanding of the multifaceted nature of womanhood and what it means to truly live a full life.

‘It’s in Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland, in Sarah Polley’s documentary Stories We Tell. They’re full.

I consistently choose to work with women directors because they’re interested in exploring the complete and nuanced aspects of a story.
