Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr pokes fun at his unrecognisable appearance without glasses and jokes he was ‘SO hungover’ after celebrating show finale

Alan Carr, who recently won Celebrity Traitors, playfully commented on how different he looks without his glasses, adding that he felt like he’d had a rough night after celebrating the show’s ending.

The comedian, 49, stepped out in London without his trademark specs after his epic win last week. 

Okay, so then Nooruddean Choudry, who I follow religiously online, posted this paparazzi shot of Alan just… living his life that day. It was EVERYTHING. I immediately screenshotted it, obviously. I mean, a new picture of him? It made my whole day!

He playfully wrote in his caption that Alan Carr would make a great spy. He pointed out that Carr not only won The Traitors but can completely change his appearance – and seemingly his personality – just by removing his glasses and stopping his smile, making him appear to have suspicious opinions about himself.

Alan then penned in the comments: ‘I was SO hungover!!!’ 

Many fans joked that Alan Carr was auditioning for the next James Bond, playfully calling him ‘the world’s best spy!’

The disguise is often likened to Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent, who famously uses glasses to appear unassuming as a reporter for the Daily Planet.

The final episode drew an impressive 11.1 million viewers, peaking at 12 million, making it the most-watched program overnight since the finale of Gavin & Stacey last Christmas, according to the BBC.

Alan defeated popular former England rugby player Joe Marler and fellow contestant Cat Burns.

After watching the big finale with Kate Garraway and enjoying a few drinks, Alan looked a little tired in photos taken the next morning.

I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes! Alan won?! After he literally said he was the worst possible Traitor, just like Linda from season three? It was insane! Everyone was completely stunned, but secretly, I was screaming with joy. He totally pulled it off, and it was the most amazing thing ever!

As the drinks flowed at Alan’s watch party on Thursday night, he was seen breaking down in tears.

He cried while watching a heartwarming scene from the BBC show, where host Claudia Winkleman had offered him support.

His friend and fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Angellica Bell, attended the party, as did many of his close friends.

Alan showed off a huge cake he got on Instagram – it had his face on it and was decorated to look like his character from the show he recently won an award for, complete with a cloak and horns.

Alan unexpectedly won after Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga, both 55, suddenly switched their support away from Joe, creating a surprising moment that shocked the audience.

Even though Joe, 35, accurately identified Alan and Cat, 25, as the Traitors, he couldn’t persuade the other players and was unexpectedly voted out right before the end.

Alan won the competition as the last two competitors met Claudia outside Ardross Castle in a dramatic final showdown.

The comedian admitted they weren’t very good at hiding their emotions on stage, but they’ve kept going anyway. They also confessed to sometimes embellishing stories about the entertainment industry, but said it was much harder to deliberately deceive people directly.

Alan explained his emotional breakdown, saying he felt overwhelmed by all the dishonesty, lies, and the deaths of Paloma and Celia.

He went on to say that he realized he’d raised a significant amount of money for his chosen charity, Neuroblastoma UK.

I care deeply about this charity, and the situation became overwhelming for me. I hope that seeing my distress will help people understand that I never intended to harm anything valuable.
