Jesinta and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin finally sell family home on the Gold Coast after listing for a jaw-dropping $10.9 million

After searching for a year, Jesinta and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin have sold their Gold Coast mansion, Villa Casa.

The Australian model and her football player husband put their house on the market last month. This was actually their third attempt to sell the large, seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home in just over a year.

The couple, expecting their third child, have sold their Mediterranean-style house and are moving to a hobby farm with their family.

Dijana Speak and Nic Whitehead of Whitefox Real Estate shared that a family from Victoria quickly purchased the Reedy Creek property after immediately falling in love with it.

Buddy and Jesinta Franklin are thrilled that Villa Casa has been sold to a lovely family who they hope will love the house as much as they did, according to a statement to realestate.com.au.

‘The buyers are moving from interstate and wanted acreage,’ she said, adding that they were attracted to the Hinterland area thanks to the schools nearby.

Villa Casa attracted attention last month when Jesinta and Buddy Franklin put it up for sale with an asking price of $10.9 million.

Although Speak didn’t disclose how much the Franklins made from the sale, the realtor confirmed that both parties were satisfied with the agreed-upon price.

The couple bought their Reedy Creek mansion in 2022 for $8.75 million.

This impressive, multi-level home, designed like a resort, is situated on elevated land, 16 kilometers from the center of the Gold Coast.

Highlights include expansive grounds and two separate dwellings.

The two-storey main residence boasts a ‘rumpus room’, a media room, and a private living room.

There’s also a large pool and entertainment deck with an adjoining ‘pavilion’.

The home boasts impressive design elements like large, arched windows reminiscent of Spanish architecture, beautiful wood floors, and walls finished with lime render.

Gold is used for the lights and taps, adding a touch of elegance.

The gourmet kitchen, meanwhile, offers a dolomite marble island breakfast bench.

The estate also includes a separate two-bedroom guest house with two beautifully designed bathrooms.

Buddy recently shared that he and his partner, along with their children Tallulah, age five, and Rocky, age four, are planning to move to a house in the countryside before Christmas.

The 38-year-old AFL great said that the couple had snapped up a ‘hobby farm’.

We needed to buy another place before we felt comfortable selling this one,” Buddy explained to the Courier Mail.

‘It’s time, and we can’t wait for our first Christmas with the kids on the new property.

‘We’ve always envisioned raising the kids on a hobby farm.’

The star player called the move ‘ideal’ for his family, which is expanding, and said he’s planning to get his kids ponies for Christmas.
