Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Spider-Man on PlayStation 5, recently suggested that a meeting between Spider-Man and Wolverine could happen in a future game. Lowenthal shared this possibility during an interview with TopMob, alongside his wife and co-star Tara Platt (who voices Yuri Watanabe). With Insomniac Games’ Wolverine game planned for release in Fall 2026, many fans believe the studio is working towards creating a shared Marvel universe within its games.
While discussing TopMob’s new voice acting course, Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course, Yuri Lowenthal shared that, to his knowledge, Spider-Man and Wolverine haven’t interacted in Insomniac’s Marvel games. He stated, “I don’t think they’ve met yet.”

The actor confirmed that the two heroes are officially part of the same universe, but clarified they haven’t met yet. He also expressed his enthusiasm for a potential team-up, saying, “I’d love to see them together, obviously.”
From what I know, they haven’t met yet, but I’d really like to see them together.
Tara Platt interjected during the discussion, turning to Lowenthal and pointing out, “You’d really enjoy seeing Spider-Man and Deadpool team up.”
This inspired Lowenthal to develop ideas for everything he was passionate about, even a team-up between Spider-Man and Moon Knight.
I’m really excited about the possibility of seeing both Spider-Man and Moon Knight, and I’d especially love to play as either of those characters. There are just so many things I’m hoping for as a fan!

Lowenthal confirmed Spider-Man and Wolverine haven’t teamed up yet, but he expressed strong interest in making it happen if the right circumstances arose.
He confessed that even though he provides the voice for Spider-Man, he hasn’t been involved in the development of the Wolverine game. He described the process as a complete mystery, saying he’s learning about it as it’s revealed to the public, just like everyone else.
As far as I know, these two haven’t crossed paths yet. But I’d really like to see them meet and work together – hopefully, chances will arise.
The development of the Wolverine game happened entirely on its own, and we had no involvement or insight into the process. It was a complete mystery to us, and I’m actually finding out about it as we speak.
Despite being announced in 2021, the development of Wolverine hasn’t been smooth sailing. The game has experienced internal changes and was also affected by a significant cybersecurity incident, causing delays and challenges.
A cyberattack on Insomniac in 2023 resulted in the leak of confidential employee information, early looks at gameplay, and plot details, which seriously disrupted the game’s progress. However, the studio quickly assured fans that the attack wouldn’t delay the game’s release and confirmed Liam McIntyre would be playing the character of Logan.
The game is still on track for a Fall 2026 release, which would make it the third Marvel game launching next year.
Become Spider-Man: The Art of Voice Acting
In addition to their voice acting work for Insomniac’s Marvel games, Troy Baker and Laura Bailey are now sharing their expertise with others through their online course, Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course.
This self-paced course builds on the knowledge from the popular books Voice-Over Voice Actor: What It’s Like Behind the Mic and The Extended Edition. It includes 17 modules, over nine hours of video lessons, practical exercises, and helpful resources for voice actors of any experience level.
Platt compared the program to an introductory college course, explaining it’s designed for people who are new to the field or just beginning to explore it.
We see this class as a basic introduction to voiceover work, similar to a college-level introductory course. We anticipate most students will be beginners, either with no prior experience or just starting out. They might have done a little booking, but are looking to work more consistently, or they want to expand their skills and explore new areas within voiceover.
We’re not aiming to create a class where everyone is at the same skill level. We’re focusing on a group of people who are already working at our level.
Lowenthal agreed, explaining that the course was created to answer the common questions they get from both fans and people new to the subject.
We kept hearing from potential students who were curious about voice acting. They’d often say things like, ‘I’m completely new to this, but it sounds fun,’ or, ‘I’m interested in learning, but I have no idea how to get started.’
That was the central question driving our work. We designed this course to directly address it and provide meaningful support to people facing that challenge.
The course is now available on Kajabi starting November 11th, and it’s a great way to begin your podcasting journey.
