Sources say a neurologist now believes Wendy Williams was misdiagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, two years after she initially received the diagnosis.
In 2023, 61-year-old Williams received diagnoses of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. However, she maintains she is still capable and is fighting to end the legal guardianship that she believes is unfairly controlling her life.
According to TMZ, a neurologist has confirmed that Williams doesn’t have the illness after she completed testing in New York City. Her legal team received the test results late last month.
Experts agree that people with this condition don’t get better and will continue to worsen over time.

According to TMZ, Britney Spears’ lawyers plan to start the process of ending her conservatorship within the next two weeks.
They plan to submit paperwork to the court, which will allow them to request a judge to dissolve the existing legal agreement during a hearing.
Joe Tacopina, Williams’ lawyer, plans to request a jury trial. If the judge denies their first request, Tacopina will ask the jury to terminate the guardianship.

The famous talk show host explained to the publication why she believes staying in a room at the Coterie is problematic.
Williams questioned, “Did you see those people? The elderly ones? Why would I even want to look at that?” He added that he’s repeatedly requested a room on a different floor.
In a segment on TMZ, she explained that the building is for residents aged 60 and over, then jokingly added, ‘I’m 61, and I still look great!’
Williams shared that she’s been staying positive by regularly going to church in Brooklyn.
‘It gives me faith,’ she said, ‘and keeps me very well in touch with God and myself.’
The celebrity recently attended New York Fashion Week and confirmed they’ve been enjoying going out and being social again, stating, ‘I’ve been out, so of course I do go out.’
