Resident Evil Survival Unit challenges you to rebuild and survive, launching this November 18

Aniplex Inc. announced that their new game, Resident Evil Survival Unit, will be available on Android and iOS devices starting November 18th. Players could sign up for pre-registration back in July when the game was first shown, and it was tested in a few countries starting this September.

Rebuild and defend your base, and face the unknown infection

For fans of Resident Evil, get ready for something new! Resident Evil Survival Unit, created with JOYCITY Corporation, is a mobile game that combines the horror you love with strategic gameplay. You’ll play as a survivor in a brand new adventure within the Resident Evil world.

The game is set after a mysterious infection quickly wipes out a city. You’ll establish a base around an old, abandoned mansion, fixing it up and managing everything your small group of survivors needs – like supplies, defenses, and research. It’s a game that really makes you plan carefully to stay alive.

Players can recruit, assign roles, and even survive together with other groups

Every survivor has different skills when it comes to fighting, collecting resources, and using technology, so putting them in the right roles is crucial for staying alive. It’s exciting to see returning characters like Leon, Claire, and Jill, but I’m really looking forward to meeting new groups of survivors, especially in games that let you choose whether to team up with or compete against them.

I’ve been a fan of the Resident Evil series since I was young, although I haven’t played every game. This new story, which the developers say goes beyond what the series usually offers, seems like a good reason to revisit the franchise. Honestly, I was hoping for something even more impressive given how popular the series is, but the real-time defense missions, character customization, and dangerous creatures still look like a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, it looks like fans in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Brunei, and Mongolia will have to wait a bit longer – the game is scheduled to launch in those regions in early 2026.
