Apple TV’s Neuromancer Teased By Star Callum Turner

Callum Turner, who stars in the new Apple TV science fiction series , has finished filming. The show is based on William Gibson’s 1984 novel, and Turner is thrilled for audiences to finally see it.

Apple TV+’s upcoming series, Neuromancer, centers on Case (Callum), a hacker pulled into the dangerous world of digital crime. He teams up with an assassin named Molly (Briana Middleton) for a high-stakes job: stealing pieces of artificial intelligence named Wintermute and Neuromancer, which are attempting to combine into one incredibly powerful force. The show also stars Joseph Lee as Hideo, Mark Strong as Armitage, Clémence Poésy as Marie-France Tessier, Peter Sarsgaard as John Ashpool, and Emma Laird as Linda Lee.

I was so fascinated to hear Callum talk about working on the show! He shared with ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley that William Gibson, the author of the original book, was actually really hands-on with the production. Callum emphasized how valuable Gibson’s input was – and it makes perfect sense, since no one knows the story and its world better than the person who created it. As Callum put it, they really included Gibson in the whole process, and it truly remained his book and his vision.

As a huge fan, I was so thrilled to hear Callum talk about Neuromancer. He was incredibly complimentary about the entire team and how well everyone worked together on set. He actually said, and I quote, ‘I think we did a brilliant job. I’m excited, and I’m really happy with it.’ It’s fantastic to hear that everyone involved is proud of what they created – it really builds the anticipation for the film!

The actor shared that this show marked his first venture into science fiction, which he found to be a really insightful experience. He explained, “I hadn’t done sci-fi before, so it was a new and interesting challenge.” He went on to say that Neuromancer felt particularly realistic, noting, “It’s a world that feels plausible, not one filled with unbelievable gadgets or concepts.”

As of today, there’s no confirmed release date for the Neuromancer series. However, many believe it will debut on Apple TV in 2026.
