OG announce a new Dota 2 roster: Team Aureus acquired

OG, the well-known Dota 2 team, has re-entered the competitive scene after recently disbanding their previous lineup. They’re now focusing on Southeast Asia and have signed Team Aureus.

Just over a week ago, OG announced they were releasing their Dota 2 team. The team had a difficult year in 2025, with disappointing results in both tournaments and qualifying events, and struggled to perform consistently. While the legendary Johan “N0tail” Sundstein returned to the lineup, it wasn’t enough to turn things around. However, on November 8th, OG revealed a completely new roster, signaling a fresh start for their Dota 2 team.

OG returns, with a move to Southeast Asia

OG Esports announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they are making a big change: they’re expanding into the Southeast Asia Dota 2 scene. They’ve done this by acquiring the team Team Aureus, which will now compete as a fully-Philippine OG squad. The new team has been performing well recently and will now represent OG in competitions.

So, Ceb was talking about the new team lineup, and here’s what he had to say about where we’re heading with it…

I’m really excited about the future, especially the possibility of seeing the Southeast Asia region finally get the competitive scene it deserves, and I believe OG can help make that happen. We’ve always felt a strong connection to SEA, and I want to express our gratitude to all the fans in the region for their incredible support.

OG’s new roster PH SEA roster is:

  • John “Natsumi-” Vargas
  • Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer
  • Nikko “Force/Nikko” Bilocura
  • Timothy John “TIMS” Randrup
  • Andrei “skem” Ong
  • Adam “343” Shah (coach)

OG’s Dota 2 team now has an opportunity to turn their year around. Their new lineup will compete in the PGL Wallachia Season 6 tournament, which begins on November 15th. Given the team’s recent struggles, they’re counting on success from their Southeast Asian players.
