Davina McCall, 58, reveals she was diagnosed with breast cancer that was thankfully caught ‘very very early’ and has undergone successful surgery – a year after her rare brain tumour

Davina McCall recently shared that she was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump and getting it checked out. She received the diagnosis about six weeks ago.

The 58-year-old TV star shared the news on Instagram Saturday, explaining doctors caught the illness in its very early stages. She’d had successful surgery to remove it, but will still need radiotherapy as part of her treatment.

In a recent video, Davina explained she was sharing her experiences to support others, similar to how she did when she underwent surgery for a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor in November 2024.

She first noticed the lump while filming The Masked Singer. A sign in the restrooms at the Lorraine studio then prompted her to get it checked by a doctor.

Davina shared that she recently discovered she has breast cancer. She noticed a lump a few weeks ago that appeared and disappeared.

While I was filming The Masked Singer, the Lorraine show put up signs in the restrooms reminding people to check for breast lumps. Every time I used the bathroom, I checked, and I noticed something was still there.

I recently had a biopsy that confirmed I had breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy – a surgical removal of the cancer – almost three weeks ago.

Davina shared an update on her surgery, explaining that doctors have confirmed she’s fully recovered.

The former Big Brother host explained that they found the growth very early because it was quite small, which they considered incredibly fortunate. They were very relieved it was removed and hadn’t spread further.

Even though she received positive news, Davina will still undergo five days of radiotherapy in January as a precaution to confirm the cancer is gone.
