Bindi Irwin teases return to US Dancing With The Stars with brother Robert ten years after being crowned Mirrorball champion

Oh my gosh, you guys, I nearly fainted when I saw the news! Bindi Irwin might be coming back to Dancing With The Stars in the US! It’s been ten years since she absolutely crushed it and won the whole thing – the Mirrorball trophy was SO deserved! I’m already counting down the days, seriously! I can’t even imagine how amazing it would be to see her dance again!

Bindi Irwin, 27, and her brother Robert, 21, posted a quick video to Instagram on Friday showing Bindi practicing in the studio.

With Sexxy Red’s “She’s Back” playing in the background, Bindi confidently walked towards the camera with a playful smile.

Then, unexpectedly, Brother Robert and his partner Witney Carson appeared and joined Bindi in the dance.

‘We’ve recruited a new member of #TeamIrWINit,’ Robert captioned the clip.

Fans excitedly commented on the post, happy to hear Bindi was coming back to the show on ABC and Disney+.

However, Bindi kept them guessing, claiming she was only at rehearsals for a visit.

‘So wonderful to visit you guys for rehearsals,’ she wrote.

‘Your dance this week is going to be so incredibly special. Can’t wait to cheer for you both.’

Despite everything, people were thrilled at the possibility of a brother and sister competing together on Dancing with the Stars.

One fan commented to @bindisueirwin, suggesting she join the dance competition since she’s an alumna and believes the rules allow it. They wrote, ‘You know we all want to see you on the dancefloor with them!’

Another chimed in with: ‘Ok great I’m ready to sob next week.’

Oh my gosh, I’m seriously losing it! Someone said exactly how I feel: if they don’t get perfect scores this week, I honestly don’t know what I’ll do! This is going to be amazing, I just know it! It’s going to be so special!

Deadline reported this week that several past winners of Mirrorball are expected to return for the relay round in the next episode.

Although they haven’t revealed which past winners will be making a comeback, Bindi being at Robert and Witney’s practice suggests she might be involved.

Robert and Bindi also posted a sweet picture from the rehearsal, showing Bindi’s four-year-old daughter, Grace Warrior.

Oh my goodness, Grace was absolutely adorable! She hit this beautiful fifth position ballet pose, and I was watching with Bindi, Robert, and Witney – it was such a sweet moment!

Bindi celebrated 20 years of Dancing with the Stars with a heartwarming post, sharing a photo and saying it was ‘incredibly special’ to bring her daughter, Grace, to rehearsals.

‘Her favourite part? “Dance Class” with Witney and Uncle Robert. My. Heart.’

It comes after Robert surprised viewers last month with an emotional cameo from mum, Terri.

The night’s theme was dedications, and Robert and Witney performed a heartfelt dance to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart.” Robert dedicated the dance to his mother, who is 61 years old.

Everything was going perfectly until Robert surprised the audience by having Terri appear briefly at the end of the performance.

When their dance ended, Robert became overwhelmed with emotion and embraced Terri tightly, earning cheers from the delighted audience.

Terri, overcome with emotion herself, also fought back tears following the performance.

She shared how much she loved her son and felt lucky to be his mother. Robert then dedicated his dance to all mothers, especially those who often go unappreciated, and encouraged everyone to call their own mothers and express their love.

Judge Bruno Tonioli praised the number, saying it was a ‘true expression of love’.

Bruno said, ‘Steve is looking at you and smiling. You poured your heart and soul into this, and that’s what true, lasting love looks like.’

People on social media reacted much the same way, expressing strong positive feelings about the performance and how moving it was.

Bindi took out top honours on Dancing With The Stars back in 2015, when she was just 17 years old.

Throughout most of season 21, she and her dance partner, Derek Hough – a judge on the popular show – were the frontrunners, favored by both the fans and the judges.

After a challenging three months on the show, Bindi appeared truly emotional as she held the Mirrorball Trophy.

Honestly, standing here today feels surreal. I’m incredibly grateful for everything that’s happened and for the people who made it possible. It truly feels like my life has been transformed, and I’ll always be thankful for that.
