Sadie Sink Had The Perfect Response When Grilled About Her Spider-Man: Brand New Day Character

Actress Sadie Sink expertly answered a question about her first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During the premiere of Stranger Things Season 5, Sadie Sink was playfully asked by Entertainment Tonight to describe her new character in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day with just one word. Sink jokingly responded that she thought she was still at the Stranger Things premiere and wasn’t ready to answer. When the interviewer insisted, Sink simply said, “No.”

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Sadie Sink would be joining the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and fans immediately began guessing which character she’d play. While many thought she might portray one of Peter Parker’s love interests, like Felicia Hardy or Gwen Stacy, recent pictures from the set have led some fans to believe she’ll play a different role. A popular fan theory suggests she’ll be an ally of Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher, who will be played by Jon Bernthal, known for his roles in Punisher and Daredevil: Born Again.

Currently scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will bring Tom Holland back as Peter Parker. He’ll be joined by Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. The movie will also feature Michael Mando returning as Mac Gargan, finally appearing as the Scorpion after his previous encounter with Spider-Man in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Another well-known villain, Lonnie Lincoln (also known as Tombstone, previously voiced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018), will also be featured.

What’s Next for Sadie Sink Before Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Brand New Day next year, Sadie Sink will star in the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. The final season will be released in two parts: the first four episodes arrive November 26th, followed by three more episodes on December 25th, and the series finale on December 31st. Sadie recently shared a memory from filming, saying she cried so much her eyes were extremely swollen, resulting in some funny photos.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to swing into theaters everywhere on Jul. 31, 2026.
