Great news for League of Legends fans! The 2026 World Championship will be held in both Texas and New York.

LoL Worlds 2026 location
Riot Games revealed on November 7th that the League of Legends World Championship in 2026 will be hosted in Allen, Texas, and New York City. This marks the first time the tournament will be held in North America since 2022. The following year, in 2027, the championship will return to Korea, after a nine-year gap since 2018.
Just days before the League of Legends World Championship 2025 Finals, an exciting announcement was made. T1 and KT Rolster are set to compete for the championship and a $5 million prize! This year’s tournament was held throughout China, starting with the Play-In and Swiss Stages in Beijing, then moving to Shanghai for the Knockout Stage. The final match will take place in Chengdu on November 9th.
LoL Worlds location history
Since first appearing at DreamHack in Sweden in 2011, the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) has been held in cities across the globe. Each year, the event moves to a different region – including North America, Europe, China, and South Korea – to showcase various esports scenes. Some memorable locations include Seoul’s World Cup Stadium (2014), the AccorHotels Arena in Paris (2019), and London’s O2 Arena (2024).
