Despite recent reports of a harassment and bullying complaint, Millie Bobby Brown publicly complimented her ‘Stranger Things’ co-star David Harbour at the premiere of the show’s fifth season on Thursday night.
Millie Bobby Brown, 21, who stars as Eleven in the Netflix series, was thrilled to be working with David Harbour, 50, who plays her on-screen father, Jim Hopper. She described the reunion as ‘amazing’.
She told Extra how grateful she was to have her co-star, adding that the show is incredibly important to both of them and to the entire cast and crew.
Brown talked about the show’s ten-year journey, saying, ‘These past ten years have been a huge part of our lives. We’ve put a lot of effort into this, and we’re thrilled it’s finally being shown.’
Fans were surprised to see Millie and David friendly and smiling for photos on the red carpet, especially considering the issues happening behind the scenes.

According to James, Brown and Harbour didn’t seem particularly friendly on the red carpet. He noted they didn’t display common signs of distance, like turning away from each other, forcing smiles, or appearing unhappy – behaviors that often suggest a lack of connection.
James pointed out that they appeared close, but the way he had his hand around Millie’s waist seemed more like a formal, respectful gesture – his fingers weren’t gripping or squeezing. He also noted that Brown’s other hand resting on her leg didn’t seem to indicate any tension.
James observed that Brown seemed to subtly enhance her appearance – what she refers to as ‘upgrade’ gestures – while posing for photos with Harbour on the red carpet.

Last week, The Mail on Sunday reported that Harbour was investigated internally after Brown filed a complaint about his behavior.
Crucially, the complaints did not include any allegations of sexual impropriety.
The investigation is still ongoing and its results haven’t been released, but that didn’t stop the two actors from appearing together publicly at the Hollywood premiere of the show’s fifth season.

Surprisingly, she then brought up Matthew Modine, the actor who played the government worker who initially experimented on Eleven and also acted as a complex father figure to her.
Even though his character often clashed with Brown’s on screen, Modine actually became close friends with her and her family. This made him a natural choice to replace Harbour in the role.
