‘Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy and Millie Bobby Brown Break Silence on David Harbour Bullying Claims

Stars attended the Hollywood premiere of the final season of the fantasy horror series, which will be released on Netflix later this month. However, in the past week, several reports have surfaced alleging harassment and bullying of a cast member by a costar. At the premiere, the show’s executive producer responded to these reports, characterizing many of them as untrue and exaggerated.

So, it’s been about a week since word started circulating that David Harbour was subject to an internal Netflix investigation before Season 5 filming began. Apparently, Millie Bobby Brown – who plays his on-screen daughter – filed some complaints about bullying and harassment. Initially, details were pretty scarce, and some of the reports felt… inflated, let’s say. Director Shawn Levy finally addressed it in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, and when asked how he handled things to ensure a safe and respectful environment, he responded:

I’ve already addressed the question, and ultimately, that’s what matters. Creating a respectful and safe work environment for everyone was a priority, and we worked hard to achieve that. We’re proud of the environment we built. I’ve seen a lot of inaccurate stories and a lot of speculation, but the reality is we considered our cast and crew to be like family, and we always treated each other with respect – that was fundamental to how we operated.

David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown Reunited on the Premiere Red Carpet

Despite rumors that David Harbour wouldn’t participate in promoting the final season of Stranger Things, he and his co-star Millie Brown both attended the premiere. Contrary to reports of tension between them following recent allegations, Harbour and Brown appeared friendly and happy together on the red carpet.

To quiet rumors and build excitement for the fifth season, Netflix released a brief Instagram video showing the two actors happily celebrating together, even sharing a hug. While some might see this as a strategic PR move to address any concerns before the season launches, others are taking it as a positive sign and feel they can now enjoy the finale without worry.

Honestly, we don’t really know what went on between them, and it seems like whatever it was happened before they even started filming Season 5. That suggests they worked things out a long time ago! Are they secretly close when the cameras aren’t rolling? I doubt we’ll ever find out, and frankly, it’s probably nobody’s business but theirs.
