The popular series Stranger Things will conclude with its fifth season, which will be released in three parts later this month and in December. However, the story isn’t over completely – a new spin-off series has been confirmed.
As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I’m so excited about Tales from ’85! It’s a new animated series on Netflix that takes us back in time to see what the kids were up to before the events of the main show. Apparently, they’re facing off against some brand-new monsters, which sounds awesome!
In a short preview clip for the new show, the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, explained that this spin-off was one of their earliest ideas when they began considering expanding the Stranger Things universe.

They explained the goal was to capture the feel of 1980s cartoons. Because animation allows for endless possibilities, the showrunner, Eric Robles, and his team were given creative freedom, and they’ve really delivered.

The creators, the Duffer Brothers, and producer Shawn Levy are returning, but the actors from the original live-action series will not be part of the new show.
The cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha ‘EJ’ Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.
