David Harbour avoids being pictured alone with co-star Winona Ryder at Stranger Things final season premiere in LA – after admitting he ‘fell in love’ with her on set

At the Los Angeles premiere of Stranger Things‘ final season on Thursday, David Harbour seemed to steer clear of posing for solo photos with his co-star, Winona Ryder, following his recent admission that he developed romantic feelings for her while filming the show.

The 50-year-old actor, known for playing Chief Jim Hopper in the popular sci-fi horror show, appeared cheerful while posing with his fellow cast members on the red carpet before the premiere. However, he seemed to avoid getting too close to his co-star, Winona Ryder, 54.

The couple was only ever photographed together at public events as part of larger group photos, and those moments always seemed warm and friendly.

In the group photos, Winona stood with Finn Wolfhard, 22, and Gaten Matarazzo, 23, all of them smiling brightly for the cameras.

David stood with Millie Bobby Brown, the 21-year-old actress who plays Eleven in the show, and producer Ross Duffer, 41, on the far right.

David recently confessed he developed romantic feelings for Winona while filming Stranger Things, and the two were seen together at a movie premiere.

The actor is facing intense media scrutiny following the release of his ex-wife, Lily Allen’s, new album, ‘West End Girl.’ The album seems to detail their difficult relationship and includes accusations of infidelity.

But David reportedly has an unfaltering ally amid the scandal – his co-star, Winona.

David recently told Esquire Spain that he’s impressed by Winona’s openness and creativity while they’re working together, when discussing their connection.

I’m really impressed by people who can convincingly portray a character and make others genuinely fall in love with them, even within a constructed or artificial world.

He described Winona as incredibly sensitive and emotional, saying she experiences feelings on a much deeper level than he ever could.

She’s incredibly empathetic – far more than I am. She’s truly a remarkable person.

Winona has been supporting David through a difficult time, following the strong reaction to Lily’s new album.

According to a source, she’s very supportive of him and will be with him next month as they begin promoting the last episodes of their series. She’s known for being understanding and non-critical.

Similar to how she supported Johnny Depp when he was facing controversy, she’ll stand by David because she believes he’s being treated unfairly.

Lily’s latest album surprised and captivated fans, who widely believe it reveals complex details about the breakdown of her marriage to her unfaithful ex-husband, David. The album has generated a lot of buzz and left many listeners shocked.

“West End Girl” is a song inspired by her four-year marriage to the actor from Stranger Things. They met on the Raya dating app, and the album’s 14 tracks reportedly offer a very honest account of their split.

This is her first album in seven years, and she recorded it quickly – in just ten days – following her painful breakup last December. She discovered her partner had been having a three-year affair, which led to the split.

I’m so excited Lily’s album is finally out! Honestly, it feels a little overshadowed by everything else happening, though. I was really surprised to see Millie and David being so overly affectionate at the afterparty, especially considering the reports that she filed a harassment and bullying complaint against him. It just feels…weird, and I’m worried for her.

Photos from the event at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles showed Millie playfully leaning on David while they laughed together.

Throughout most of the evening, she stayed close to David, and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, was also there to support her.

Earlier that day, Millie surprised fans with how she acted when she met David at the premiere of season five.

Even though there were rumors that Millie had been upset with David’s actions during filming, she seemed genuinely happy to see him on the red carpet, smiling as they posed for photos.

Last week, The Mail on Sunday reported that Harbour was investigated internally following complaints made against him by Brown.

According to a source, Millie Bobby Brown reported harassment and bullying before filming the final season of the show. The complaint included extensive details and accusations, and an investigation lasted several months.

Netflix didn’t offer a statement about this news. Representatives for Millie Bobby Brown also remained silent, and requests for comment from David Harbour and the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, went unanswered.

When asked about the streamer’s quietness on the matter, a source revealed that Netflix doesn’t discuss internal investigations. However, their refusal to deny the investigation itself is very telling.

Stranger Things was a major success for Netflix, and its final season is highly anticipated by millions of fans worldwide. The creators want to ensure nothing distracts from the show’s conclusion.
