Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Collab event: Here’s how to collect lots of Waffles for free

Brawl Stars is currently hosting a special event based on Stranger Things, running until December 3rd. The event features waffles, unique character skins, a new game mode called Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt, and plenty of rewards. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know, including how to get waffles for free and what rewards are available.

Brawl Stars x Stranger Things event: Overview

The new Brawl Stars event, inspired by Stranger Things, is here! You can earn Waffles by playing, and then trade those Waffles for special Packs in the Shop. These Packs contain Brawler Decks, which are needed to unlock Brawlers for the unique Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt game modes. This event is a completely different experience than the recent Subway Surfers collaboration.

You can now collect Brawler Decks to play as your preferred characters. These decks come in two packs: the Stranger Pack, which contains one Brawler Deck, and the Strangest Pack, which includes one Brawler Deck and two extra rewards – these rewards could be Stranger Things-themed character skins. Also, in this event, a ‘Run’ means one complete attempt to beat all 5 stages of the Stranger Things game modes.

So, these packs are awesome because they have special event skins inside! There are four different packs available during the event. Once you unlock a Brawler’s Deck, you can actually use those Brawlers in the new Stranger Things game modes, which is super cool. And each deck has Power cards, and they come in different rarities – Epic, Mythic, and Legendary! It’s a fun way to collect and power up your team.

As a Supercell Make Stars fan, I’ve learned that the rarer the card, the more powerful it is! These Powers really help you during Runs, giving your Brawler a serious boost. For example, if you’re using Shelly, her best deck can include amazing Legendary cards like a +2000 Max Health boost or a 30% Damage increase. But the cool thing is, every Brawler has their own unique set of powerful cards!

Upside Showdown Game Mode Overview

This collaborative event kicks off with the ‘Upside Showdown’ mode, a roguelite experience where you compete against nine other players in each stage. As you play, you’ll collect Waffles, earning up to 200 per run. After completing each stage, you can choose one of three Powers to make your Brawler stronger for the remainder of the run.

Your primary objective is to finish within the Top 4 to advance. If you don’t, you’ll have to start your entire run over. Knowing this, aiming for first place is ideal, as it guarantees a Legendary Power card. Second place earns you a Power card of Mythic rarity or better, and third and fifth place will each receive an Epic Power card.

Hawkins Hunt Game Mode Overview

Besides Upside Showdown, get ready for Hawkins Hunt, launching in just a few hours! Vecna and the Demogorgon are joining the action, and Spirit Frank will be the first boss you’ll face. Team up with two other players to battle through five stages that get progressively harder.

How to get Waffles in Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Event

You’re likely wondering how to get a lot of Waffles, and I’m here to show you exactly how to do that, as well as what rewards you’ll receive for collecting them.

1. Daily Wins

During the event, you can get Waffles in addition to Daily Starr Drops, which you receive for winning matches each day. If you win 6 matches daily, you can earn a total of 45 Waffles each day.

2. Mega Quests

You can earn a large number of Waffles by completing Mega Quests. These were recently added to Brawl Stars, as discussed in our October Brawl Talk article. Completing all the Mega Quests will reward you with 750 Waffles, as well as other prizes like a Legendary Starr Drop.

3. Shop

The game is giving away free Waffles in its shop! You can collect a certain number of Waffles each day until the end of the season, adding up to a total of 2460. If you have enough Gems, you can also use those to get even more Waffles.

4. Clearing the new game modes

Keep playing both Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt to collect plenty of Waffles. As an example, you can get 70 Waffles by completing all 5 stages of Upside Showdown.

Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Event Rewards

If you’ve collected a lot of Waffles, be sure to trade them for Strangest Packs! These packs contain special event skins, including Hopper Bull, Eddie Draco, Will Gus, and Scoops Ahoy Derry. You only need to collect 60 packs to get the Will Gus skin. Plus, if you complete the Brawler Deck collection, you’ll receive a unique event pin.
