Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Collab Event: Here’s how to collect lots of Waffles for free

Brawl Stars is currently hosting a special event based on Stranger Things, running until December 3rd. The event features new content like Waffles, unique character skins, and two new game modes called Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt, along with opportunities to earn rewards. This guide will explain everything you need to know about the event, including how to get Waffles without spending money and a full list of available rewards.

Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Event: Overview

The new Brawl Stars event, inspired by Stranger Things, is here! You can earn Waffles while you play and trade them for special Packs. These Packs contain Brawler Decks, which you need to unlock Brawlers for the new Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt game modes. This event is a lot different than the recent Subway Surfers collaboration.

You can now collect Brawler Decks to play as the characters you love! These decks come in two packs: the Stranger Pack, which contains one Brawler Deck, and the Strangest Pack, which gives you one Brawler Deck plus two extra rewards – these could be Stranger Things-themed skins. Also, during this event, a ‘Run’ means one complete attempt to beat all 5 stages in the Stranger Things game modes.

Like I mentioned, these packs have special event skins inside. There are four different packs available in the Shop during the event. Once you unlock a Brawler’s Deck, you’ll be able to use those Brawlers in the new Stranger Things game modes. Plus, each deck includes Power cards with different levels of rarity: Epic, Mythic, and Legendary.

More rare Powers are more effective, and you can use them during battles to strengthen your Brawler and gain an advantage. For example, Shelly might have powerful Legendary cards that increase her maximum health by 2000 or her damage by 30%, but the specific Powers available vary for each Brawler.

Upside Showdown Game Mode Overview

This collaborative event kicks off with the roguelite mode, Upside Showdown. You’ll compete against nine other players in each stage, earning Waffles as you play – up to a maximum of 200 per run. After each stage, you can choose one of three Powers to make your Brawler stronger for the remainder of the run.

Your primary objective is to finish within the top four to advance. If you don’t, you’ll have to start over from the beginning. Because of this, aiming for first place is highly recommended! The winner receives a guaranteed Legendary Power card, second place gets a Mythic or higher rarity Power card, and third and fifth place finishers each receive an Epic Power card.

Hawkins Hunt Game Mode Overview

Besides Upside Showdown, get ready for Hawkins Hunt, launching in just a few hours! Vecna and the Demogorgon are joining the action, and Spirit Frank will be the first boss you’ll face. You can team up with two other players to battle through five increasingly challenging stages.

How to get Waffles in Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Event

You’re likely wondering how to get a lot of Waffles, and I’m here to show you exactly how, as well as what you can earn with them.

1. Daily Wins

During the event, you’ll be able to get Waffles in addition to the Daily Starr Drops you already earn by winning matches each day. If you win 6 matches daily, you can earn up to 45 Waffles each day.

2. Mega Quests

You can earn a large number of Waffles by completing Mega Quests. As we covered in our October Brawl Talk article, Brawl Stars recently added these quests. Completing them will reward you with 750 Waffles, as well as other prizes like the Legendary Starr Drop.

3. Shop

The game is giving away free Waffles in the shop! You can collect a certain number of Waffles each day until the end of the season, adding up to a total of 2460. If you have enough Gems, you can also use those to get even more Waffles.

4. Clearing the new game modes

Keep playing Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt to collect lots of Waffles. As an example, completing all five stages of Upside Showdown will reward you with 70 Waffles.

Brawl Stars x Stranger Things Event Rewards

If you’ve saved up a lot of Waffles, be sure to trade them for Strangest Packs! These packs contain special event skins like Hopper Bull, Eddie Draco, Will Gus, and Scoops Ahoy Derry. You only need to collect 60 packs to get the Will Gus skin. Plus, if you complete the entire Brawler Deck collection, you’ll receive a unique event pin.
