Sarah Paulson set to star as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Ryan Murphy’s Monster season four

Ryan Murphy’s popular horror series, Monster, is coming back next year with Sarah Paulson taking the lead in its fourth season.

The actress, known for working with Murphy on American Horror Story, will appear as serial killer Aileen Wuornos, according to Variety.

Sources say Paulson is close to finalizing a deal to star in the new Netflix series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Filming is already happening in Los Angeles.

The fourth season will tell the story of the murders of Lizzie Borden’s father and stepmother, who were killed with an axe. Though accused of the crimes, Borden was famously found not guilty in court.

Lizzie Borden will be played by Ella Beatty in the show.

The next part of this series could explore how Borden’s case has shaped the way we view female killers, both in the past and in cases like that of Aileen Wuornos.

Last season, the show featuring Charlie Hunnam as Ed Gein examined how the serial killer’s crimes continue to influence movies and popular culture.

Charlie Hunnam returns as Andrew Borden, the father of Lizzie, in the newest part of the series.

The film features Vicky Krieps as Bridget Sullivan, the maid for the Borden family, and Rebecca Hall as Lizzie’s stepmother, Abby Borden.

Billie Lourd will portray Emma Borden, the sister of Lizzie Borden, and Jessica Barden will play Nance O’Neill, a close friend and someone Lizzie confided in.

Wuornos was convicted of the murder of seven men in Florida, where she was later executed in 2002.

Her notorious crimes have been the subject of many shows and films.

Charlize Theron won an Academy Award for her performance as Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 movie Monster. This film is separate from the Monster anthology series.

Lily Rabe is another actress who played Aileen Wuornos, appearing in the fifth season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story.

This marks the latest of many collaborations between Paulson and Murphy.

She recently appeared in ‘All’s Fair,’ a Hulu legal drama where Kim Kardashian explores her acting career.

Evan Peters is well-known for appearing in nearly every season of American Horror Story, and his performances have earned him five Emmy Award nominations.

Paulson is coming back for the show’s thirteenth season, it was announced just last week.

She previously appeared in both The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and Impeachment: American Crime Story, series that Ryan Murphy helped produce and direct.

Paulson won an Emmy for her work in the show about OJ Simpson’s infamous case.

Paulson collaborated with Murphy on both the Netflix series Ratched and the first season of Feud, which dramatized the famous rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.
