Michael J. Fox’s lookalike son Sam ties the knot during intimate NYC wedding amid father’s Parkinson’s battle

Michael J. Fox’s son, Sam, married Molly Milstein in a small, private ceremony in New York City last October.

Michael J. Fox, 64, and his wife, Tracy Pollan, have four children. Their eldest is 36 years old, and they also have 30-year-old twins and a 24-year-old daughter.

Sam shared the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, posting photos from their celebration – just over a year after getting engaged.

He was pictured with his mother and three sisters, but Michael, who has Parkinson’s disease, wasn’t among them.

In one photo, the bride and groom beamed at each other as they exchanged vows, with Tracy happily watching from behind.

Sam dressed for the occasion wearing a dark navy suit as well as a button up underneath.

The bride looked beautiful in a cream-colored blazer and matching miniskirt. She completed her outfit with closed-toe pumps and wore her hair in loose waves that fell past her shoulders.

Sam and Molly exchanged vows in a bright and airy living room, filled with sunlight.

The new couple was photographed signing their marriage license, and the bride briefly became tearful during the process.

The couple then had a photoshoot outdoors in New York City, including walking down a busy street and relaxing on a park bench.

A black and white photo captured a tender kiss between the couple during a private moment at their wedding.

Sam and Molly shared a post on Instagram with the caption ‘A month before,’ along with emojis including a bride, groom, and red heart.

Last February, Sam announced his engagement to her by sharing a photo of them together after she accepted his proposal.

During a trip to Vermont, Molly and Sam took a happy selfie in the snow. In the photo, Molly’s hand is resting on Sam’s chest, showing off her new diamond ring.

He also held an excited smile on his face while simply typing out, ‘LFG!!’ in the caption.

Michael and Tracy got married in 1988 after meeting while working on the TV show, Family Ties.

The actor, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, is very close to his four children.

In May, Michael posted a birthday message for Sam on Instagram, writing, ‘Happy Birthday, Sam! You’re the best friend, brother, and son anyone could ask for. I love you!’

In August, Sam joined his father, a celebrated figure in his field, at a launch event for Sirius XM in New York City.

I’ve followed Michael J. Fox for years, and it broke my heart when he shared his Parkinson’s diagnosis back in ’98. But honestly, it also made me admire him more. He didn’t just accept it, he fought back! He started the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000 to raise money for research, and it’s been incredible to watch how much progress they’ve made. He’s such an inspiration, turning a personal struggle into something that helps so many others. I’m so proud of everything he does.

In a 2022 interview with People magazine, the actor shared that spending time with his family brings him the most joy.

He also shared that his wife, Tracy, and their children are wonderful. He admitted it might sound cliché or like a perfect story, but after being married for over thirty years, they’ve clearly built a strong and successful relationship.

Michael stepped away from acting while dealing with a health issue, but recently surprised everyone by announcing his return.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on Jason Segel lately, and he’s been incredibly busy! He recently appeared in a guest role on the fantastic Apple TV+ show Shrinking – it’s even been nominated for an Emmy! Plus, he just released his memoir, Future Boy, in October, which I highly recommend if you’re looking for a thoughtful and engaging read.

He recently shared with People magazine that seeing the work of others inspires him to explore new opportunities as both an actor and a writer.

‘And as a parent, husband and friend, I have a lot left to do,’ the Golden Globe winner continued.

In the show Shrinking, Michael played a character living with Parkinson’s disease. He shared that it was the first time he could simply focus on acting without having to worry about how his condition – like fatigue or coughing – might affect his performance.

The actor shared that he deals with Parkinson’s disease every day, explaining that he assesses how the day will be and tries to adapt accordingly.

Life keeps throwing physical hurdles my way, but I always manage to overcome them. I spend a lot of time in a wheelchair, and honestly, it wasn’t easy adjusting at first, but I’m getting the hang of it.

Looking back on the past year, Michael said he felt things had been consistently good and uplifting.

The star added, ‘If you put your mind to it. You can do anything.’
