Russell Crowe, the Australian actor, praised the United States as the ‘greatest country in the world‘ while discussing politics on the Joe Rogan podcast last night.

The 61-year-old Academy Award winner said he began listening to Joe Rogan’s podcast because his son was a huge fan, and he wanted to understand what his son was enjoying.

The actor admitted he was initially doubtful, but after listening to the podcast a few times, he changed his mind and praised Rogan for creating space for complex political conversations.

He seemed to be acknowledging the deep political divisions in the US, saying, ‘Let’s remember that things aren’t settled, and we’re still working through things. There’s always room for improvement.’

The discussion shifted to immigration, an issue where Joe Rogan disagrees with President Donald Trump, even though he previously supported Trump’s campaign.

Joe Rogan pointed out that the United States is unusual because it was almost entirely built by immigrants who came to the country over time.

The podcast host identified a major strength and flaw in the United States, then went on to critique the Biden Administration.

Over the past four years, a key issue was the lack of proper screening for individuals being allowed into the country. Essentially, anyone was being admitted without sufficient background checks.

Currently, the main issue with the Trump administration is that they’re detaining and removing productive members of society simply because of paperwork errors.

‘So neither one is a great solution — and both of them cause huge problems.’

Crowe responded mysteriously, suggesting that much of what we know about the situation is biased. He believes someone is intentionally presenting information in a negative light to influence our perception.

It is unclear exactly what he was referring to.

Crowe stopped speaking, and Rogan responded, agreeing completely. He said people are constantly being manipulated from all sides of any given issue.
