Alan Carr’s naturally friendly and self-deprecating style helped him reach the final of The Celebrity Traitors, but Bob Mortimer doubts it will be as effective on the next season of Last One Laughing.
The Prime Video show where comedians live together and compete to avoid laughing – while simultaneously trying to make each other crack up – will be returning for a second season shortly.
The show boasts a fantastic lineup of comedians, featuring returning winner Mortimer, along with Carr, Sam Campbell, David Mitchell, the hilarious Diane Morgan (known as Philomena Cunk), and Mel Giedroyc, among others.

Bob recently appeared on This Morning to discuss his books and his passion for fishing. While there had been a lot of talk about him potentially being on The Celebrity Traitors, he admitted to being a huge fan of the show.
He said he was enjoying the show as much as everyone else, responding to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s question about how Alan was performing compared to previous appearances.
Bob smiled and said, “It was hard for Alan to keep a straight face! He’s just someone who easily bursts out laughing.”
It seems pretty likely that if Alan is your competitor in the Last One Laughing competition, your chances of winning are very slim.
Bob hinted that he might eliminate someone this season in a way that’s reminiscent of how he sent Daisy May Cooper home in season one.
He mentioned that in the upcoming series, a character is likely eliminated through a musical performance. He also suggested that he might use magic to make someone laugh.
The first season was a big hit when it came out earlier this year, and Mortimer said the cast was all surprised by how well it did.
He explained they never anticipated the show would be successful, adding that many of them joined the project because they believed it wouldn’t attract a large audience.
Last One Laughing UK season 2 does not currently have a release date on Prime Video.
